- Connecting hardware for stacking (e.g., Part #152059)
Note: Wall mounting screws and plugs are not included and must be purchased separately based on your wall type.
Assembly Steps
1. Assembling the Basic Unit Frame
- Connect the base panel to one side panel using two cam lock screws (#114142) and two cam locks (#100092). Repeat for the other side panel.
- Slide the back panel (#194732) into the grooves on the side panels.
- Attach the top panel to the side panels using two cam lock screws (#114142) and two cam locks (#100092) on each side.
- Attach the second side panel to the base and top panels using cam lock screws (#114142) and cam locks (#100092).
- Insert the second back panel (#194732) into the grooves of the side panels.
2. Installing Shelves
- Insert shelf supports (#10044713 / #10100447) into the desired pre-drilled holes on the inside of the unit.
- Place the shelves onto the installed shelf supports.
3. Wall Mounting
Crucial Step: To prevent tip-over accidents, it is essential to secure the furniture to the wall.
- Attach the wall mounting brackets (e.g., #10042534, #10042566, #10100681) to the top rear of the unit using screws (e.g., #108736).
- Position the unit against the wall. Use a spirit level to ensure it is vertical.
- Mark the wall through the bracket holes.
- Secure the unit to the wall using appropriate screws and wall plugs suitable for your wall type (not included).
4. Stacking Units
The PLATSA system allows for stacking multiple units.
- To stack units, attach connecting hardware (e.g., #152059) to the top of the lower unit.
- Place the next unit on top, aligning the connecting hardware to secure them together.
The maximum recommended stack height for PLATSA units is 300 cm (118 7/64").
