Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your PLATSA unit.
Step 1: Assemble the Main Frame
Connect the side panels to the base and top panels. Use four screws (114142) and four plastic components (100092) for each connection point as shown.
Step 2: Rotate and Secure
Carefully rotate the assembled frame. Insert two plastic components (194732) into the designated holes on each side to secure the structure.
Step 3: Attach Back Supports
Insert and attach any necessary back support panels or crossbars into the frame.
Step 4: Reinforce Frame
Further reinforce the main frame by inserting four screws (114142) with plastic components (100092) into the top corners.
Step 5: Attach Top Panel
Place the top panel onto the frame. Secure it using two plastic components (194732) on each side.
Step 6: Prepare for Wall Mounting
Attach the metal bracket (10044713) to the top rear of the unit using two screws (10044727). Ensure it is firmly attached.
Step 7: Wall Mounting the Unit
Position the assembled unit against the wall. Use appropriate screws and wall plugs (not included) to securely fasten the bracket to the wall. This step is critical for safety and stability.
Step 8: Assembling Multiple Units (Optional)
To create a larger storage system, units can be stacked. Place one unit on top of another. Use the provided connecting hardware, such as screws (10044713, 108736) and connecting pieces (10046332), to join the units securely.
Ensure each unit is properly aligned and fastened to the unit below it before proceeding.
The maximum recommended height for a stacked PLATSA system is 300 cm (118 7/64 inches).
Step 9: Securing Stacked Units to the Wall
For any configuration exceeding a single unit, it is essential to secure the entire structure to the wall. Use the wall attachment devices provided for each unit or as recommended for the overall height.
Example of stacking and wall attachment:
- For a two-unit stack, attach the first unit to the wall. Then, place the second unit on top and secure it to the wall as well.
- Use screws (10044713) to connect units horizontally or vertically if needed.
- Use screws (108736) and connecting pieces (10046332) to join units, especially when stacking.
