This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA PLATSA storage system.

Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip over. To prevent tip over, this furniture must be used with the wall attachment device(s) provided.
Screw(s) and plug(s) for the wall are not included. Use screw(s) and plug(s) suitable for your walls. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Read and follow each step of the instruction carefully.

Assembly Steps
Step 1: Frame Assembly
Connect the main frame components. Attach the side panels to the base and top frame pieces using 8x screws (114142) and the Allen key (100092). Ensure the panels with the patterned mesh are oriented correctly.

Step 2: Attaching Back Panels
Secure the back panels (featuring a patterned mesh) to the assembled frame. Use 8x screws (194732) for this step.

Step 3: Connecting Frame Sections
Join the assembled frame sections together to form the main structure of the unit.

Step 4: Securing the Frame
Further secure the main frame by inserting and tightening 4x screws (114142) using the Allen key (100092).

Step 5: Attaching Remaining Frame Components
Attach the remaining frame components or side panels. Use 4x screws (194732) to secure these parts.

Step 6: Installing Shelf Supports (Part 1)
Insert and secure the first set of shelf support connectors. Attach 2x parts (10044727) using 2x screws (10044713). Ensure they click into place. ? Click!

Step 7: Installing Shelf Supports (Part 2)
Install the remaining shelf support connectors. Use 20x parts (10042566) and 20x parts (10042534). Ensure they click into place. ? Click!

Step 8: Inserting Shelves
Carefully slide the shelves into the unit, resting them on the installed shelf supports.

Step 9: Attaching Wall Brackets
Attach the wall mounting brackets (10046332) to the top rear of the unit. Use 2x of these brackets.

Step 10: Final Unit Assembly
Complete the assembly of the main storage unit structure.

Step 11: Wall Attachment Preparation
IMPORTANT: This furniture must be secured to the wall using the provided wall attachment device(s) to prevent tipping. Follow the instructions for attaching the wall brackets.

Step 12: Positioning the Unit
Carefully move the assembled unit to its final desired location against the wall.

Step 13 & 14: Securing to the Wall
CRITICAL STEP: Secure the unit to the wall using the attached wall brackets and appropriate wall fixings (not included). Ensure the unit is stable and safely anchored.

Final Check
