Assembly Steps
-
Step 1: Mount the Tap Body
Insert the tap body through the designated mounting hole on the sink or countertop. Secure the tap from underneath using the provided mounting hardware.
Diagram description: Illustrates the tap body being inserted from above into the countertop, with a hand shown underneath tightening the securing mechanism.
-
Step 2: Seal the Base and Ensure Hole Size
Apply silicone sealant to the open surfaces around the tap's base where it meets the countertop. This prevents water ingress. The required hole diameter for installation is between 34 mm and 38 mm (approximately 1 3/8" to 1 1/2").
Diagram description: Shows a silicone sealant gun applying a bead of sealant around the base of the tap. Arrows indicate the specified range for the mounting hole diameter.
-
Step 3: Connect Flexible Hoses
Attach the flexible hoses to the water supply points. Ensure that the pipe connection is flat and free from any sharp edges. Crucially, do not overtighten the connections, as this can lead to damage to the hoses or washers. Incorrect hose configurations are marked with 'X' symbols. ❌
Diagram description: Depicts connecting the flexible hoses to the water supply. One illustration shows a hand using a wrench to tighten a connection, accompanied by a warning against overtightening. Another shows the requirement for a flat pipe connection. Several examples of incorrectly routed or connected hoses are shown with 'X' marks. ❌
-
Step 4: Test the Aerator/Flow Guide
Before first use, use a coin to unscrew the aerator (also known as the flow guide). Allow water to run freely from the spout for a few minutes to flush out any potential debris. After flushing, screw the aerator/flow guide back into place until it stops. Do not overtighten.
Diagram description: Shows a coin being used to unscrew the aerator. Next, water is shown flowing from the tap spout. Finally, the aerator is shown being screwed back into place.
-
Step 5: Perform Final Leak Check
It is important to regularly check the entire installation for any signs of leaks to ensure proper functionality and prevent water damage.
