This function must be enabled (indicated by the ☀️ indicator). Backlight elements degrade over time. Backlight may be difficult to see in direct sunlight. A faint sound may be heard when the backlight is on due to vibrating elements, which is normal. Backlight automatically turns off during alarms. Press in Current Time mode to manually turn on the backlight for two seconds. This works regardless of whether auto-light is enabled. Precautions: Auto-light may not work if the hand is tilted more than 15 degrees left or right. Keep your hand parallel to the ground. Static electricity or magnetic fields can interfere with auto-light. If auto-light does not work, try resetting the watch position or shaking your wrist. Backlight may activate 1 second after the action, which is normal. Warning: Do not read the watch in dangerous situations like climbing or near traffic. Turn off auto-light before driving or operating machinery, as sudden activation can be distracting and dangerous. To turn auto-light ON/OFF, press and hold for one second (indicator ☀️ appears when ON). The indicator is shown in all modes when ON.
