General Information
Important Information Before Use
Battery
The battery installed at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage. If you notice signs of insufficient power (dim display), replace the battery at an authorized CASIO service center or dealer.
Water Resistance
For all categories of watches, it is prohibited to: press buttons underwater; adjust the crown underwater; unscrew the crown underwater. If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and wipe it dry. Do not wear a watch with a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Level | Marking | Splash, Washing | Swimming, Snorkeling | Scuba Diving | Saturation Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | No marking | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
V | 300 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- 1. Not water-resistant. Avoid all contact with water.
- 2. WR (Water Resistant) means water-resistant according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause problems.
- 3. 5 Bar (50 meters) water resistance means the watch can withstand water pressure of the indicated value and can be used while showering and for brief swimming.
- 4. 10 Bar (100 meters) water resistance means the watch can be used for normal swimming and snorkeling.
- 5. 20 Bar (200 meters) water resistance means the watch can be used for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Watch Care
Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures. While designed for active daily use, handle the watch with care and avoid drops. Do not fasten the strap too tightly; a finger should fit between your wrist and the strap. Clean the watch and strap with a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a water solution of mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.). Store the watch in a dry place when not in use. Avoid exposing the watch to gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc., as chemical reactions can damage gaskets, cases, and finishes. Some models feature silk-screened designs on the strap; clean these carefully to avoid damaging the graphics.
Plastic Bands
You may notice a white powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth. Exposure of plastic bands to sweat or moisture, or storing them in humid conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for plastic bands, wipe them clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
Fluorescent Cases and Bands
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent coloring to gradually fade. Prolonged contact with moisture may also cause the fluorescent coloring to gradually disappear. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may cause discoloration of the fluorescent coloring. Check that moisture is removed from the fluorescent surface and avoid contact with other surfaces.
Condensation
If condensation forms on the inside of the glass due to significant temperature changes, this is a normal physical phenomenon and not a defect.

The watch will automatically stop measuring temperature and return to Timekeeping Mode if no operations are performed in Thermometer Mode for 1-2 hours.
Temperature is displayed in units of 0.1°C (or 0.2°F). A °C (or °F) indicator appears if the measurement result is outside the range of -10.0 to 60.0°C (14.0 to 140.0°F). The measurement result will be displayed again once it falls within the specified range.
Thermometer Precautions
Temperature measurement is affected by body heat (when worn on the wrist), direct sunlight, and humidity. For more accurate readings, remove the watch from your wrist and place it in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. After 20-30 minutes, the watch case temperature will stabilize with the ambient temperature.
Selecting Temperature Units
Perform the following steps to change the temperature unit in Thermometer Mode.
Important Note: If the city code is set to TOKYO, the temperature unit is automatically set to °C (Celsius) and cannot be changed.
- In Thermometer Mode, go to the temperature sensor calibration screen (refer to "Temperature Sensor Calibration").

Temperature Sensor Calibration
The built-in temperature sensor is factory calibrated and normally does not require further adjustment. If serious temperature measurement errors occur, you can calibrate the sensor.
Caution: Incorrect calibration will lead to inaccurate measurements. Read this section carefully before performing any calibration.
Before calibrating, compare the watch's readings with a reliable and accurate thermometer.
If calibration is necessary, remove the watch from your wrist and wait 20-30 minutes for the watch case temperature to stabilize with the ambient temperature.
- Switch the watch to Thermometer Mode. The temperature sensor will begin measuring ambient temperature, and the result will be displayed.
- Press and hold button A for about 2 seconds. The "Hold" indicator will appear. Release button A when the "Hold" indicator disappears.
- The flashing temperature value on the screen indicates that the watch has entered sensor calibration mode.
- Use button D (+) or B (-) to adjust the temperature value to match the reading from another instrument. Each press of D or B changes the value by 0.1°C (0.2°F). To return to factory settings, press both D and B simultaneously. The indicator will display "OFF" for 2 seconds, then the original temperature value.
- Press button A to return to Thermometer Mode and start measuring ambient temperature.

Diagram Description: Shows how to activate auto-backlight. Tilt the watch towards you at an angle of approximately 40 degrees. Wear the watch on the outer side of your wrist.
The auto-backlight turns off automatically 6 hours after activation to conserve battery power. To re-enable auto-backlight, repeat the above procedure.
The auto-backlight turns off automatically after a set duration (1.5 or 3 seconds), even if the watch face is tilted towards you.
Static electricity or magnetic fields may interfere with the proper operation of the auto-backlight. If the backlight does not turn on, return the watch to its original position (parallel to the ground), then tilt it towards you again. If this does not help, lower your hand along your body, then try again.
A very faint clicking sound may be heard when the backlight turns on. This is the mechanical sound of the auto-backlight activating and does not indicate a malfunction.
Analog Time Adjustment
The analog hands may become misaligned due to magnetic interference or impact. In such cases, you need to adjust their home position.
- In Timekeeping Mode, press and hold button D for about 5 seconds until the H-SET indicator appears on the upper digital screen and the Sub indicator flashes on the lower digital screen.
- Check the home position of the tide information hand. Its home position is when it points to the 12 o'clock mark. If it is not, use buttons D (+) and B (-) to move it to the 12 o'clock mark. After adjusting the tide hand, press button C.
- Check the home position of the hour and minute hands. Their home position is the 12 o'clock mark. If they are not, use buttons D (clockwise) and B (counter-clockwise) to move the hands to the 12 o'clock mark. After adjusting the hour and minute hands, press button A to return to the current time display.
Diagram Description: Shows the analog time adjustment screen. H-SET and Sub indicators are shown. Buttons D/B adjust the tide hand, then button C is pressed. Then D/B adjust hour/minute hands, then button A returns to time display.
This action will return the watch to Timekeeping Mode. The hour and minute hands will return to displaying the current time, and the tide information hand will point to the HIGH mark. To cancel the adjustments, press button C.
