Thank you for supporting MUBVIEW. Please read this manual thoroughly before using this wireless security camera. For any issues, please email your order number and the problem to support@mubview.com for a fast solution within 24 hours. MUBVIEW offers lifetime technical support. If you have any questions or ambiguities during use, please feel free to contact us. We will try to find a good solution with our professional camera engineers.

Important Notes for Smooth Operation:

  • The camera supports 2.4GHz WiFi only; it does not support 5G WiFi.
  • Before connecting to WiFi, ensure the WiFi signal strength is over 85%. If the camera is too far from the signal source, it may not connect successfully.
  • If your router is connected to too many devices, the camera might fail to connect due to IP address conflicts.
  • For privacy, this camera supports APP control only and does not support PC Browser or other software.
  • This wireless camera supports event recording even when WiFi is disconnected.
  • Watching live footage or recorded videos from the SD card consumes battery power. Please charge the camera promptly when the low power reminder appears. For the first use, fully charge the camera using the provided power cord.

Product Introduction and Components

The camera features the following components:

  • 1 Microphone: For audio input.
  • 2 Charging Indicator: Red indicates charging, blue indicates fully charged.
  • 3 Lens: The optical lens for capturing images.
  • 4 PIR: Passive Infrared sensor for motion detection.
  • 5 Working Status Light: Indicates network and connection status.
    • Solid red: Network is abnormal.
    • Slow flickering red: Waiting for WiFi connection and adding devices.
    • Wi-Fi fast flickering red: Wi-Fi connecting.
    • Solid on blue: Wi-Fi connected successfully, camera running normally.
  • 6 Spotlight & IR Light: For illumination in low-light conditions.
  • 7 Power Key: Press and hold for 5 seconds for power on/off.
  • 8 Reset Key: Press and hold for 5 seconds until hearing 'Boogu' to reset or restore to factory settings.
  • 9 Waterproof plug: Protects ports from water ingress.
  • 10 SD Card Slot: Supports local SD card storage (up to 128GB).
  • 11 DC 5V Charging Port: For powering the camera.
  • 12 Wi-Fi Antenna: For wireless network connectivity.
  • 13 Speaker: For audio output, including two-way audio.

Key Operations:

  • Power Key: Press and hold for 5s to power on/off the camera.
  • Reset Key: Press and hold for 5s until hearing 'Boogu' to reset or restore to factory settings.
  • SD Card Slot: Supports local SD card storage (up to 128G).
  • Charging Indicator: Red means charging, blue means fully charged.

Getting Started: App Setup

Download and Install the CloudEdge App

Scan the QR code below or search "CloudEdge" in the App Store or Google Play to download the App.

Account Registration

Sign up in the App with your email address. Choose your region and correct country code. The app displays a welcome screen with fields for region, account (email), password, and options to log in or sign up.

Before Adding Your Camera

  1. Allow the App to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN; otherwise, it will fail to add the camera.
  2. Allow the App to receive pop-up messages; otherwise, the smartphone will not receive notifications when motion is detected.

App Permissions: The app requires access to Notifications, Location, Photos, Bluetooth, Local Network, Microphone, Camera, Siri & Search, and Background App Refresh. Ensure 'Allow Notifications' is enabled.

Notes:

  • The App offers a free 7-day cloud storage, or you can insert a Micro SD card into the camera to store videos.
  • The camera supports 2.4GHz WiFi only.
  • When connecting to the network, please place the camera closer to your router to ensure a stable network signal.

Adding Your Camera to the App

Method 1: Bluetooth Connection (Recommended)

  1. Power on the camera, then turn on Bluetooth and Location services on your phone.
  2. Open the "Cloudedge" APP, click "Add Device" or the "+" icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Wait for the pop-up window, make a selection, and enter the correct password for your router's WiFi. Click "Next" when the camera indicator light blinks.
  4. When the prompt "Connection successful" is displayed, the camera has been successfully added to the App.

App Screens: The process involves screens showing "No device has been added", "Select Device" (listing "Battery Camera"), and "Wi-Fi Setup" where you select a 2.4G&5GHz WiFi network and enter the password.

Tip: If your phone's Bluetooth and Location are not enabled, the APP may not prompt a pop-up window. Please click "To open" and select "Allow" to turn them on.

Method 2: Add the Camera by Scan the QR Code

  1. Click "Add Device" and select "Battery Camera". Click the "Battery Camera with Bluetooth icon". You will hear "Please power on the device".
  2. Follow the prompts and click "Next". Enter the correct password for your router's Wi-Fi and confirm it.
  3. Click "Next", and place the QR code displayed on the phone in front of the camera lens. You will hear a prompt tone.
  4. When the prompt "connection successful" is displayed, the camera has been successfully added to the phone.

App Screens: The process includes "Select Device" (listing "Battery Camera (2.4G Wi-Fi)"), "Add Battery Camera" (showing a reset instruction), and "Operation Instructions" (showing distance for QR code scanning).

Tip: If the camera fails to connect to the network, press and hold the reset button for more than 5 seconds, and connect again after hearing the beep. If it still fails, please email support@mubview.com.

Key Features

Two-Way Audio

  1. Open microphone permission for the App.
  2. Press the intercom button to start speaking.
  3. Release the intercom button to listen.

The app interface shows "Live", "History", "Cloud", "Screenshot", "Intercom", and "Record" options, with "Intercom" being the button for two-way audio.

Alarm Management

Alarm Area

The alarm area is divided into a 16x9 grid. Select the specific area you wish to monitor. To set the alarm area, navigate to the camera's setting page, then "Alarm Management" and "Alarm Area". You will only receive alarm notifications that occur within the selected grid area.

Alarm Plan

You can set weekly/daily alarm schedules within alarm management. The camera will only trigger and send alarm notifications during your scheduled periods. You can set up to 4 alarm time periods.

Multi Device Management and Sharing

The app can manage multiple Mubview devices, allowing you to watch live feeds from up to 4 cameras simultaneously. To share your camera, enter "Device Share" in the camera's setting page. Share steps involve User B downloading the Mubview App and creating an account, User A clicking 'Add' on their phone, User A scanning User B's QR Code or inputting User B's account ID, and User B accepting the share on their phone.

Setup Local Storage

Insert an SD card into the SD card slot. Open the App on your phone, go to camera settings, then "Recording Management" to format the SD card.

Camera Installation

This camera supports two types of mounting: installation on a ceiling or a wall.

Please make sure before Installing:

  1. Ensure the installation surface is flat.
  2. Do not install the camera near heat sources, air conditioning vents, or kitchen exhausts.
  3. Avoid installing the camera near busy roads with heavy pedestrian or vehicle traffic to prevent excessive false alerts and rapid battery drain due to frequent triggers.

Frequently Asked Questions and Troubleshooting

Device Offline

  1. Check if the camera is powered on and observe if the indicator light is functioning properly.
  2. Check if the network signal is weak, or try restarting the router.
  3. If the camera is located in a weak signal area, it is recommended to move the router closer or install the camera in a stronger signal area.
  4. Ensure that the camera's firmware is up to date.

Update Router or Wi-Fi Password

Delete the camera from your Mubview account. After resetting the device, use the new Wi-Fi name and password to add it again.

Cannot Play Historical Video

  1. Check the status of the SD card in "Settings" to ensure it has been successfully recognized.
  2. Reinsert the SD card.
  3. Format the SD card within the application.
  4. Try a different SD card.

Alarm Push Frequently

  1. In the app, lower the sensitivity of the motion detection alarm.
  2. Check for objects that might interfere with and trigger the PIR sensor (e.g., air conditioner units, passing cars, pedestrians). Adjust the camera's angle to avoid these objects.
  3. Turn on "human motion detection" and use the humanoid algorithm to filter out irrelevant alarms.

Phone Cannot Receive Alarm Push

  1. Ensure all push permissions for the "Mubview" application are enabled in your mobile phone's system settings.
  2. Make sure the device's motion detection function is successfully turned on.
  3. Restart your phone and clear the app cache (on Android phones).
  4. Check if the network connection is good.

Why the Camera Does Not Have Color Night Vision?

  1. Enable "Motion Detection".
  2. Enable "audio warning and strobe light" to choose audio/light warning or audio warning and strobe light.

The device needs to be turned on with audio warning and strobe light to produce a color video event.

Troubleshooting Network Connections

The indicator has a solid red light: If the indicator shows a solid red light, please reset or unplug the device, then set it up again. If resetting does not work, please contact support@mubview.com for assistance with upgrading your device. If none of the above methods work, please contact us for further solutions.

The indicator is red and blinking slowly but does not blink fast after the device scanned the QR code, and does not make a sound like "bee": This may be caused by an abnormal QR code, a defocused lens, or a defective device. Ensure your phone is 5-8 inches from the lens and try scanning from different angles. If using a new brand phone, provide a screenshot of the QR code and phone details. Ensure the lens is clean. Try AP mode setup. If setup fails and the device has no response, provide the device's SN, a screenshot of the QR code, and the setup time for troubleshooting.

The indicator is red and blinking slowly and turns fast red light after the device scanned the QR code, but the fast red light does not turn blue: The fast red light indicates the device recognized the QR code. Reasons for setup failure may include: 2.4G WiFi being used instead of 5G, incorrect password, or unstable network. Place the device next to the router during setup. If issues persist, reboot your router, reset your device, or try using mobile data as a hotspot. If it still doesn't work, the WiFi antenna might be defective. Contact us for solutions.

The indicator is red and blinking slowly and turns fast red light after the device scanned the QR code, and the fast red light turns blue after a while but the device failed to add to APP: Please provide your SN/account information and the exact setup time to our technical engineer team for further troubleshooting.
