For assistance during the installation process, please contact support@mubview.com.
Account Registration
Sign up for an account within the app using your email address. Select your region and the correct country code. Note that users from different regions cannot share the camera.
The registration process typically involves:
- Entering your email address.
- Setting a password (8-16 digits, including numbers, upper/lower case letters, and characters).
- Agreeing to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy.
- Setting a nickname for your device.
Preparations for Connection
To ensure proper functionality, allow the 'Mubview' app the following permissions:
- Access to mobile cellular data and wireless LAN. Failure to do so may prevent adding the camera.
- Permission to receive pop-up messages. This ensures you receive notifications when motion is detected.
Storage Options:
- MUBVIEW offers 7-day free cloud storage with the basic version.
- Alternatively, you can insert a Micro SD card into the camera for video storage.
Network Requirements:
- The camera operates exclusively on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks; it does not support 5GHz.
- When connecting to the network, place the camera close to your 2.4GHz router to ensure a stable signal.
Connect the Camera to App
Follow these steps to connect your camera to the Mubview app:
- Add Device: Open the app and tap "Add Device".
- Select Device: Choose "Battery Camera" from the list of device types.
- Power On: Hold the device's power button to start it. If the device is asleep, press the [battery camera] button to wake it up. Ensure your phone is near the router for the best signal.
- Reset Device: Hold the RESET button on the device for 4-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes RED.
- Proceed: Tap "Next" in the app.
- Wi-Fi Setup: Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. (Note: The device does not work with 5GHz networks).
- Prepare to Scan: Remove any protective film from the camera lens. Tap "Next" to display a QR code on your phone. Position your phone 5-8 inches (15-25 cm) from the camera's lens for scanning.
- Connecting: The app will search for and connect to the device.
- Connection Successful: Once connected, the app will confirm "Add Successful". Tap "Next".
Connection Troubleshooting: If the camera fails to connect, insert a pin into the reset hole, press and hold the "reset" button for over 5 seconds, wait for the beep, and try connecting again. If issues persist, contact support@mubview.com.
Install the camera
Follow these guidelines for optimal camera placement:
- Mount the camera 7-10 feet (2-3 meters) off the ground.
- Tilt the camera downwards at approximately a 15° angle.
- Ensure the PIR lens is level for the best motion detection results.
Placement Advice: Avoid installing the camera vertically towards moving objects, as this may lead to missed motion events or delays in detection.
To reduce false alerts, please note that:
- Do not install the camera facing strong lights, glass, windows, or swimming pools.
- Avoid placing the camera too close to areas with busy traffic.
- The recommended detection distance for motion objects is within 10 meters (33 feet).
- Keep the camera away from potential interference sources such as air conditioner vents, humidifier outlets, or heat transfer vents from projectors.
If you experience motion detection delays or false alerts, please contact 24/7 after-sales service via support@mubview.com.
Reset the camera
To reset the camera to its factory default settings, locate the reset hole. Insert a pin into the hole and press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.

The Mubview camera can be shared with others in two ways:

For more detailed Frequently Asked Questions, please log in to the Mubview app and navigate to "Me" > "FAQ" > "Help Document", or contact us via email.
The device prompts offline?
- Check if the camera is powered on and observe the working light.
- Ensure the Wi-Fi network is stable; restart your router if necessary.
- If the device is far from the router, move the router closer or use a Wi-Fi amplifier to improve signal strength.
- Delete the camera from your Mubview account, reset the device, and add it again.
- Verify that both the device firmware and the app are updated to the latest versions.
Update router or Wi-Fi password?
Delete the camera from your Mubview account. After resetting the device, add it again using the new Wi-Fi network name and password.
Can't play historical video?
- In the app's "Settings", check if the SD card is recognized.
- Reinsert the SD card.
- Format the SD card using the app.
- Try using a different SD card.
Alarm push frequently?
- In the app, reduce the sensitivity of the motion detection alarm.
- Check for objects in the camera's field of view that might trigger the PIR sensor (e.g., air conditioners, passing vehicles, pedestrians). Adjust the camera's angle to avoid these.
- Enable "human motion detection" and use the humanoid algorithm to filter irrelevant triggers.
The phone cannot receive the alarm push?
- Ensure all push notification permissions for the "Mubview" app are enabled in your phone's system settings.
- Confirm that the device's motion detection function is turned on.
- Restart your phone and clear its cache (for Android phones).
- Check your phone's network connection.
Troubleshooting Network Connections
The indicator has a solid red light
- Reset the device or unplug it, then set it up again.
- If resetting doesn't resolve the issue, contact the technical support team at support@mubview.com for potential firmware upgrades. Ensure you have an SD card reader and SD card available if requested.
- If none of the above steps work, contact us for further assistance.
The indicator is red and blinking slowly but does not blink fast after the device scanned the QR code, and does not make a sound like "bee"
This may be due to an abnormal QR code, a defocused lens, or a defective device.
- Ensure your phone is 5-8 inches from the lens and try scanning from different angles.
- If using a new brand of phone, it might cause QR code issues. Provide a screenshot of the QR code and your phone's model/OS version.
- Ensure the lens is clean. Try setting up using AP mode and check for lens defocus.
- If setup fails and the device shows no response, provide the device's SN, a QR code screenshot, and the setup time (or a video if possible) for troubleshooting.
The indicator is red and blinking slowly and turns fast red light after the device scanned the QR code, but the fast red light does not turn blue
A fast blinking red light indicates the device recognized the QR code. Potential reasons for setup failure include:
- Using a 5GHz Wi-Fi network instead of 2.4GHz.
- Incorrect Wi-Fi password.
- Unstable network. Place the device near the router during setup. If issues persist, reboot your router and reset the device. You can also try using your mobile phone's hotspot as a Wi-Fi source.
- If hotspot connection also fails, the device's Wi-Fi antenna might be defective. Contact us for further solutions.
The indicator is red and blinking slowly and turns fast red light after the device scanned the QR code, and the fast red light turns blue after a while but the device failed to add to APP
Please provide your SN/account information and the exact setup time. This information will be forwarded to the technical engineer team for further troubleshooting.
