Bumper Removal
- Remove five fixings from each wheel arch. (This may involve removing wheel arch trim or carefully pulling away from the vehicle).
- Remove four fixings from the lower edge and two fixings from around the boot opening.
- Carefully release the bumper from the vehicle body, starting at the bumper tips.
- Disconnect any necessary wiring looms.
- Remove the rear impact beam. (This is NOT refitted with the Towbar assembly).
Towbar Installation
- Fix Item A (Crossmember) to the rear panel using Items D (Nuts) with Item H (Washers) and Item E (Bolts) with Item H (Washers).
- Using Item F (Bolts) with Item J (Washers) and Item G (Bolts) with Item J (Washers), fix Item B (Detachable Neck) and Item C (Socket Plate) to Item A (Crossmember).
- Fully tighten all fixings, ensuring the Towbar is rigid, square, and secure.
- Cut the rear bumper as per the sketch below.
- Refit the rear bumper.
