Overview
This document provides essential installation instructions for Tow-Trust towbars, specifically the TVV529VK model. It is designed for fitting to Volvo XC60 models manufactured from 2008 onwards and Volvo XC70 models manufactured from 2007 onwards.

The kit contains various components for mounting the towbar, including:
- Crossmember (A)
- Detachable Housing (B)
- Handed Side Arms (C)
- Socket Plate (D)
- Bolts, Nuts, and Washers (E, F, G, H, J)
Installation Steps
The installation process involves several key steps:
- Removing the rear bumper and associated fixings.
- Trimming the bumper if necessary.
- Removing the original crash beam.
- Lowering the exhaust system for access.
- Preparing the chassis mounting points.
- Attaching the towbar components (Crossmember, Side Arms, Housing) using the provided hardware.
- Fitting the Socket Plate.
- Installing the wiring harness (recommended at this stage).
- Tightening all fixings securely.
- Refitting the bumper, exhaust, and heat shield.
Important Notes
Users should adhere to recommended torque settings for bolts (e.g., M12 Grade 10.9: 109-139 Nm) and observe vehicle-specific nose load and towing weight limits.
