Diagram Description
The diagram depicts the Tow-Trust TVV524 towbar assembly for Volvo vehicles. It shows the main towbar unit (A) positioned against the rear bumper beam and chassis. Side arms (B) are attached to the chassis, and chassis straps (C) provide additional support. An extension bar (D) is also shown. The installation involves using various fasteners: Item G bolts with Item J washers secure the towbar (A) to the forward face of the bumper beam. Item H bolts with Item K washers attach the towbar (A) to the underside of the bumper beam. Item G bolts with Item L washers and side arms (B) are loosely attached to the forward face of the rear panel. Chassis straps (C) are bolted to the underside of the chassis using existing exhaust hanger and heat shield bolts, along with Item P and Item N bolts. Item B side arms are then bolted to Item C chassis straps using Item R bolts and Item N washers. Finally, the extension bar (D) is attached to the main towbar unit (A) using Item F bolts and Item M washers, and the ball bracket and wiring plate (not supplied) are attached to the mounting plate using Item E bolts.
