Lamp Components Overview

The OttLite Refine LED Desk Lamp features an adjustable design with several key components:

• A: Lamp Body Base - The stable foundation of the lamp.
• B: Power Switch - A touch-sensitive switch located on the front-upper side of the base for turning the lamp ON/OFF and adjusting brightness.
• C & D: Adjustable Arms - Segments of the lamp arm that allow for height and angle adjustments.
• E: Joint - A pivot point allowing rotation of the shade.
• F: Shade - The housing for the LED light panel.
• G: LED Panel - The light source located within the shade.
• H & J: Thumbscrews - Used to loosen and tighten the adjustable arms (C, D) and shade (F) for positioning.
• K: A/C Adapter Input - The port on the lamp for connecting the A/C adapter cord.
• L: Connector - The end of the A/C adapter cord that plugs into the lamp.
• M: A/C Adapter - The power supply unit that plugs into a wall outlet.
• N: USB Output Port - A 5V-2.1A USB port located on the surface of the lamp body base (A) for charging devices like tablets and smartphones.

The lamp's arm allows for significant vertical and horizontal adjustment, including a 330° rotation of the shade and specific joint adjustments of approximately 10° in multiple directions.

Setup and Operation Instructions

NOTE: This unit is fully assembled.

1. Remove the lamp from its packaging and place the lamp body base (A) flat on a steady surface.
2. Connect the A/C Adapter input (K) into the connector (L) of the cord, located at the rear-bottom of the lamp.
3. Plug the A/C adapter (M) into a standard household 120V AC outlet. NOTE: Only use the supplied AC adapter to avoid damage or fire.
4. Turn the lamp ON & OFF using the power switch (B) located on the front-upper side of the base. Switch (B) is a "touch" switch that controls the LED brightness level.
5. To adjust LED brightness settings, lightly touch the switch (B) to achieve the following:
   • Touch once to turn the lamp "ON" to the first brightness level.
   • Touch twice for the second brightness level.
   • Touch three times for the third brightness level.
   • Touch four times for the fourth brightness level.
   • Touch five times to turn the lamp "OFF".
6. To adjust the height and angle of the shade (F), turn thumbscrews (H, J) counter-clockwise. Adjust arms (C, D) to the desired height and angle. Then, tighten thumbscrews (H, J) by turning clockwise. Adjust joint (E) and/or rotate the shade (F) until the desired position is achieved. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN as this would strip the thread.

Safety Warnings

TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY TO PERSONS

1. Turn the lamp off and WAIT UNTIL THE LAMP HEAD (F) and ADAPTER (M) ARE COOL before handling.
2. The LED panel (G) might get hot after several hours of continuous use. DO NOT place your hands directly on the LED light panel.
3. Never use an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the receptacles in the extension cord.
4. Do not alter the plug.
5. The lamp head included with this unit cannot be replaced by the consumer.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that of the receiver.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
