Safety Precautions
Warning Before Installation:
- Keep the Network Video Recorder (NVR) away from water. If the NVR gets wet, power it off immediately.
- Power off the NVR immediately if you detect abnormal smell or smoke coming from it.
- Do not place the NVR near heat sources such as televisions or ovens.
- Do not place the NVR in high humidity environments.
- Avoid exposing the NVR to direct sunlight.
- Do not attempt to remove or uninstall software from the mounted flash memory.
- Do not drop the Network Camera (NVR).
General Warnings:
- Do not connect the NVR's PoE ports to non-Powered Devices (non-PD), such as an Ethernet switch LAN port, as the Ethernet control circuits may not be compatible. A PD is a device designed to receive power from a PoE connection, like network cameras.

Verify the package contents. The hardware installation typically requires P head 6#-32 X 4 screws (12 pieces).
Hardware Installation Steps
- Mounting the NVR: Secure the NVR using appropriate mounting hardware. Diagram 1 shows the NVR chassis with screw holes for mounting.
- Hard Drive Installation:
- Diagram 2 illustrates connecting SATA data cables (x2) and SATA power cables (x1) to the hard drives.
- Install hard drives into the designated HDD bays (SATA1, SATA2) as shown in Diagram 7.
- Secure the hard drives within the NVR chassis using screws, as depicted in Diagram 3.
- Connecting Cables:
- Connect SATA data and power cables to the installed hard drives (Diagram 4 and 5).
- Connect the NVR to a power source using the AC 100-240V, 50-60Hz input (Diagram 10).
- Rear Panel Connections: Diagram 10 details the rear panel, which includes ports for LAN/WAN, multiple PoE LAN ports (e.g., #1~8 or #1~16), and USB 2.0 ports.
- Initial Software Setup: After powering on, the system may guide you through an auto-setup or live view. Diagram 11 shows a software interface for camera discovery and setup, including an option to "Skip auto setup and start liveview". The interface may display discovered cameras with their IP addresses and MAC addresses.
