Introduction
This manual details the VIVOTEK ND9323P and ND9425P Network Video Recorders (NVRs). These H.265 Linux-based NVRs feature embedded PoE and support up to 8 or 16 network cameras, respectively, with 802.3at/af PoE ports. They offer convenient and smart installation with PoE power information display. The NVRs support remote and mobile access via VIVOCloud and iViewer apps for iOS and Android devices, providing instant push notifications and direct video playback for alarm events.
With H.265 compression and dual HDD support for up to 16TB of storage, these NVRs provide enhanced recording capacity compared to H.264 systems. RAID 0/1 configurations offer data security against hard drive failure. The NVRs support high-quality images with a maximum network camera resolution of 4K and 12-Megapixels. Features like Fisheye Dewarp function and Storyboard Search enhance usability for detailed video analysis.
The NVRs include HDMI and VGA local video outputs, allowing control via mouse and keyboard without a separate PC. The intuitive VIVOTEK GUI ensures a smooth user experience.

Safety Precautions
Users should connect the system to an earthed main power outlet and avoid opening the power supply unit housing. Installation and operation should be in a dry, weather-proof location. Ensure the system is not damaged and is operating correctly. Comply with all relevant electrical engineering regulations during installation. Maintenance and repair should be handled by qualified personnel. Always read the manual before installation or operation for important safety instructions.
The NVRs have a maximum consumption of 170W (ND9323P) and 250W (ND9425P). Disconnect power in case of a fault. Avoid placing the system near heat sources or direct sunlight. Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked and use appropriate cables that can withstand electromagnetic interference.

Important Notes
- Some low-quality Ethernet cables can reduce transmission rate. Use CAT5e or CAT6 cables with a 24AWG wire gauge for the NVR's uplink port. Shielded cables are recommended for high-noise environments.
- The fisheye dewarp function (1R & 1P) is available on a web console using the Chrome browser.
- Web access limitations exist for non-IE browsers, affecting playback features and snapshot/auto screen ratio on Safari. Supported browsers include Chrome and Firefox. Minimum PC hardware requirements include Intel i5 4th generation CPU and 4GB RAM.
- The NVR should only be connected to PoE networks without routing to outside plants. Use only UL-listed I.T.E. equipment with PoE output for PoE connections.
- Use the NVR only with a UL-listed DC power supply with Limited Power Source (LPS) certification.
- Ensure a 25cm clearance behind the chassis for adequate airflow to ventilate heat. Do not block airflow around the chassis.
