Important Safety Precautions Before Installation
General Warnings:
- Keep the Network Video Recorder (NVR) away from water. If the NVR gets wet, turn off the power immediately.
- Turn off the power immediately if you detect abnormal smell or smoke coming from the NVR.
- Do not place the NVR near heat sources such as televisions or ovens.
- Do not place the NVR in high humidity environments.
- Do not expose the NVR to direct sunlight.
- Do not attempt to remove or uninstall software from the mounted flash memory.

Package Contents
Verify the package contents to ensure all items are present:
- NVR Unit
- Screws (x16 6# x 4, x16 M3 x 6W/SW)
- SATA Power Cables
- SATA Data Cables
Hardware Installation
- Prepare the NVR Casing: Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws around the casing. Slide the top cover backward to remove it.
- Attach Rubber Feet: Affix the rubber feet to the bottom of the casing.
- Install Hard Drive(s):
- Identify the SATA data and power cables on the motherboard.
- Connect the SATA data and power cables to the hard drive(s).
- Secure the hard drive bracket to both sides of the hard drive. Ensure the label side of the hard drive faces upwards.
- Mount the hard drive(s) into the casing's installation slots, with the label side facing up and connectors facing inwards.
- Install Top Cover: Slide the top cover back into place and secure it with screws.
Connections
- Connect Monitor: Use an HDMI cable to connect the NVR to a display.
- Connect Network: Use a CAT5e cable or a better quality Ethernet cable to connect to the network.
- Connect USB Devices: Connect USB devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or a USB flash drive (formatted as FAT). A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) can also be connected.
- Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the main power source and the system. The NVR supports AC 100-240V, 50-60Hz.
Rear Panel Overview: The rear panel features:
- PoE Ports: #1~16 PoE ports for connecting IP cameras.
- LAN Ports: For network connectivity.
- USB 3.0 Ports: For connecting peripherals.
- HDMI Output: For connecting a display.
- Power Input: AC 100-240V.
- Reset Button: For resetting the device.
- SATA Ports: SATA 1, SATA 2, SATA 3, SATA 4 for hard drive connections.
Important Note on PoE Ports: Do not connect the NVR's PoE ports to non-PD* devices (such as an Ethernet switch LAN port) as the Ethernet control circuits may not be compatible. *PD = A Powered Device designed to receive power source from a PoE connection such as network cameras.
Initial System Setup
Upon powering on the NVR, the system will automatically detect cameras on the network. You can deselect cameras you do not wish to include in the setup. Click 'Continue' to proceed.
The system will automatically create partitions on the installed drives. This process may take several minutes.
You will have an option to 'Skip auto setup and start live view'.
