Application

Orientation luminaire with low installation depth for flush-mounting in compacted surfaces, paths, and open areas. Drive-over capable for vehicles with pneumatic tires. Not suitable for road lanes where the fixture is exposed to horizontal strain from braking, acceleration, or changes in direction. For walk-through public areas, skid-blocking glass is recommended (see accessories).

Product Description

Cover ring and luminaire housing made of stainless steel and cast stainless steel (Material No. 1.4301). Features white safety glass.

Includes a 1.8m water-resistant connecting cable 07RN8-F 3G1 with an integrated water stopper and a 1.2m PVC cable conduit.

Equipped with BEGA Ultimate Driver® LED power supply unit (220-240 V~ 0/50-60 Hz, DC 176-264 V).

Features BEGA Thermal Switch® for temporary thermal shutdown to protect temperature-sensitive components.

Safety Class I. Protection Class IP 68 (10m). Dust-tight and water pressure tight. Maximum submersion depth: 10m. Not suitable for permanent operation under water.

Pressure load: 3,000 kg (~30 kN). Impact strength: IK10 (Protection against mechanical impacts < 20 joules).

Maximum surface temperature: 20 °C (measured according to EN 60598 at ta 15 °C).

Safety mark: CE Conformity mark.

Weight: 4.6 kg.

Overvoltage Protection

Electronic components are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional protection against transients, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended (available on the BEGA website).

Safety

National safety regulations must be observed for installation and operation. Installation and commissioning must be performed by a qualified electrician. Fuse protection via a residual current circuit breaker is recommended. BEGA is not liable for damage caused by improper use or installation. Modifications made by others render them the manufacturer.

Installation and Mounting

Notice Prior to Installation: A proper foundation is required to withstand the maximum pressure load of 3,000 kg (~30 kN). The foundation must be on firm subgrade. The luminaire housing must be concreted in for stability.

Installation: Position the luminaire housing on the foundation and fix it securely. Electrical connection must be made on-site according to protection class and safety class requirements. Distribution boxes 70 730 or 71 053 are recommended for connection. Ensure correct wiring: Phase to brown wire (L), Neutral to blue wire (N), and Earth to green-yellow wire (?). After ground work, remove the protective foil from the luminaire cover. Tighten screws in the trim ring evenly crosswise to a torque of 4 Nm.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Initial cleaning after installation is necessary to remove building dust, adhesive residues, paint splashes, and rust film. Do not use high-pressure cleaners, steel brushes, or steel wool, as they can cause extraneous rust. Use only solvent-free cleaners. Ensure the luminaire housing is completely clean and dry. Stainless steel cleaners should be used according to their instructions. Cleaning agents must be free of hydrochloric acid and chlorides. Regular cleaning is recommended.

Accessories

Skid-blocking glass (14000653R): BEGA skid-blocking glass with R 13 rating (DIN 51130) is suitable for all public areas. Abrasion resistance: EN ISO 10545-7 Class 3.

Distribution Boxes for In-Ground Installation:

  • 70 730: Distribution box with 7 cable entries, terminals 5 x 4 mm².
  • 71 053: Distribution box with 10 cable entries, terminals 6 x 16 mm².
