Product Description

The luminaire is constructed from die-cast aluminium, aluminium, and stainless steel. It features BEGA Unidure® coating technology, matt safety glass, and a silicone gasket. The luminaire has two mounting holes with a 5 mm diameter, spaced 172 mm apart. It includes two cable entries for through-wiring of mains supply cables (7-10.5 mm diameter). The luminaire is equipped with a 2.5 mm² connection terminal and an earth conductor connection. It uses an integrated LED power supply unit (220-240 V ~ 0/50-60 Hz). The luminaire incorporates BEGA Thermal Control® for temporary thermal regulation of the luminaire's output to protect temperature-sensitive components without switching off the luminaire. It is safety class I and has a CE conformity mark. The luminaire is dust-tight and protected against water jets.

Installation and Safety

Safety Precautions

Installation and operation must comply with national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning should only be performed by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use or installation. Any subsequent modifications to the luminaire make the modifier responsible as the manufacturer.

Overvoltage Protection

The electronic components are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For additional protection against transients, separate overvoltage protection components are recommended, available on the BEGA website (www.bega.com).

Installation Instructions

For outdoor use, the light emission must be directed downwards. LEDs are high-quality electronic components; avoid touching the LED light output surface directly with hands during installation or replacement.

Undo screws and lift off the luminaire top.
Lead the mains supply cable through the cable entry into the luminaire housing.
Fix the luminaire base to the mounting surface using the supplied or other suitable fixing material. Ensure supplied gasket rings are used.
Make the earth conductor connection.
Push silicone sleeves over the connection wires and make the electrical connection.
To ensure maximum service life of electrical components, place the enclosed desiccant pouch inside the luminaire. Remove it from its foil packaging and position it at the location marked by the red information label just before finally closing the luminaire.
Make the earth conductor connection between the luminaire top and base.
Ensure the gasket is correctly positioned.
Replace the luminaire top and tighten screws evenly.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleaning agents to remove dirt and deposits. Do not use high-pressure cleaners.

LED Module Replacement

The LED module designation is noted on a label inside the luminaire. BEGA replacement modules match the original modules in light color and output. Replacement can be performed by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect power before opening the luminaire. Follow the specific installation instructions for the LED module. Inspect and replace luminaire gaskets if necessary. Damaged glass must be replaced. Close the luminaire.
