10 Decrease '-' Button Short press to decrease the bass/treble level in steps; Long press to quickly decrease the bass/treble level.
11 Increase '+' Button Short press to increase the bass/treble level in steps; Long press to quickly increase the bass/treble level.
12 Power Switch Switch the speaker on and off.
13 Record button Short press to start recording; Short press to stop recording and to play all the recordings. Long press to directly play the recorded files from the USB flash drive/TF Card.
14 MUTE Button Mute or unmute the volume.
15 LED Mode Button Long press the button to turn the LED lights on/off. Short press the button to switch between the 7 modes.
16 Repeat Button Short press the repeat button to choose all or one - only in USB and TF card mode.
17 Reset Button Clear BT history; Switch EQ back to Normal-Music mode; Reset Treble/Bass level back to 0; Reset Volume level back to 10.
18 EQ Button Switch EQ modes between - MUSIC(NOR)/Party(PAR)/POP(POP)/Rock(ROC)/Jazz(JAZ).
19 Master Volume Knob Turn the knob towards the right (clockwise direction) to increase the volume; Turn the knob to the left (anti-clockwise direction) to decrease the volume.
20 BT Button Short press to go back to BT mode; Long press to disconnect BT mode; Press and hold for 2 seconds and release the button to reconnect with the previously connected device.
21 Mode Button Short press to change the connectivity mode (BT/AUX/USB/TF Card).
22 Previous Track Short press to return to the previous track.
23 Play/Pause Button Short press to play/pause music; Long press to activate the Mic priority function.
24 Next Track Short press to skip to the next track.
25 TWS Button Short press to turn on/off TWS function; Long press to make the speaker ready to be connected via Bluetooth with the boAt Hearables App.
26 MIC Volume/Echo/MIC Delay/Guitar Volume Button Short press to switch between MIC Volume/Echo/MIC Delay/Guitar Volume key.
27 AC Input Connect the power cable over here.

Operational Instructions

Power On/Off

Use the power switch to turn the speaker on or off. When the speaker is paired with a Bluetooth device and left idle for 20 minutes or more, it will automatically enter Standby mode to save power. If no device is paired within 20 minutes of powering on, the speaker will automatically turn off. Ensure the switch is in the "OFF" position when not in use to save power.

Change Connectivity Mode

Short press the 'Mode' button to switch between Bluetooth, USB, microSD/TF card, and AUX connectivity modes. The speaker automatically switches to USB, TF, or AUX mode when the respective media is inserted. Alternatively, repeatedly short press the 'Mode' button to cycle through modes.

Bluetooth Function

The PartyPal 600 supports music playback wirelessly from smartphones or other compatible devices. Note: Compatibility with all devices cannot be guaranteed.

Bluetooth Pairing

  • Switch on the speaker using the power switch.
  • Short press the Mode or BT button until the LED displays BLUE, indicating Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone and search for "PartyPal 600" to connect.
  • Select "PartyPal 600" from the list of available devices. If prompted for a passkey, enter "[passkey-0000]".

Upon successful pairing, the "BLUE" LED will stop flashing and remain constant. Playback can then begin from the external device. The speaker remembers previously connected devices and will automatically reconnect within range when switched on. If pairing fails, remove "PartyPal 600" from your phone's paired list, bring the phone closer, and try again. The speaker will play music from the connected device. If there is no connection for 20 minutes, the speaker will turn off automatically.

Bass/Treble Adjustment

Press the BASS/TREBLE button and the '[plus-symbol]' or '[minus-symbol]' button to adjust bass and treble levels.

LED Effects

Short press the 'LED MODE' button to cycle through 7 LED modes:

LED Operation

  1. LED Mode 1 to LED Mode 6: Scrolling display and RGB lights are continuously on, showing various effects.
  2. LED Mode 7: Scrolling display is continuously on, and RGB lights are turned off.
  3. LED Mode Switch On/Off: Long press the LED mode button to turn off the scrolling display and RGB lights. The display will then only show volume level changes, mic volume, etc. Long press again to turn all LEDs back on.

Note: Party LEDs flash only when the volume frequency exceeds 150 dB and cannot be controlled via speaker buttons.

Recording Function

After powering on the speaker, insert a USB flash drive or TF card. Short press the 'REC' button to start recording microphone voice and music. Short press 'REC' again to stop recording and play all recordings. Short press again to stop playback and switch to USB or TF card mode. Long press 'REC' to play recordings directly from the USB flash drive or TF card.

TWS Function

If you have two PartyPal 600 speakers, you can activate TWS (True Wireless Stereo) to pair them for stereo audio reproduction. The speakers must be within approximately 5 meters of each other in open spaces.

Activating TWS Function

  • Ensure speakers are not paired with other devices.
  • Turn on two PartyPal 600 speakers and select Bluetooth mode (LED shows BLUE).
  • Once speakers are in Bluetooth mode and the main speaker is connected to your Bluetooth device, short press the TWS button on the main speaker. The speaker will emit a tone indicating TWS pairing mode. Audio can now play.
  • Once TWS is activated, speakers will automatically pair when turned on simultaneously.
  • Short press the 'TWS' button to deactivate TWS mode and unpair speakers.

Note: Once paired, the two units will automatically get paired again if turned on within the effective range.

AUX Mode

Connect one end of an appropriate 3.5 mm AUX cable to the speaker's AUX input and the other end to the external device. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode. Alternatively, short press the 'Mode' button to switch to AUX mode. Playback is controlled directly from the connected external device. Ensure the device is producing an audio signal and adjust volume using the speaker's knob or the connected device.

Note: In AUX mode, all music playback functions must be controlled from the connected external device.

Microphone Connection

Step 1: Slide the 'On/Off' button on the wireless microphone to turn it on and connect it to the speaker.

Step 2: Up to 2 separate wired microphones can be connected (not provided). Turn on the power and insert the mic wire into the microphone input port.

Step 3: Long press the 'Play/Pause' button to activate the microphone priority function. This increases microphone volume and decreases the music track volume when the microphone is in use.

Note: A second wireless microphone can be purchased separately and must be a boAt wireless microphone compatible with PartyPal 600.

Guitar Connection

The PartyPal 600 features a guitar jack for connecting an electric guitar.

USB/ Micro SD/ TF Card Mode

Switch on the speaker and insert a USB flash drive or MicroSD/TF card (containing MP3 files). The speaker automatically switches to USB/TF card mode. Use the '[previous-track-symbol]' or '[next-track-symbol]' buttons to select tracks. Adjust volume with the knob. Press the button to play or pause music.

Note: Bluetooth connection disconnects automatically when playing from USB/TF card. Press the BT button to reactivate Bluetooth mode. Compatibility with all storage devices cannot be guaranteed. External USB devices requiring >5V voltage and >200mA current are not supported. USB extension cables may cause recognition issues. Use FAT16/FAT32 formatted storage devices only.

Reset Functionality

If the speaker is unresponsive or does not turn off properly, perform a reset. Press the reset button on the control panel to clear Bluetooth history, volume, EQ, Treble, and Bass levels. If the issue persists, turn the power switch off and then on again.

boAt Hearables App Functionalities

Customize the speaker display text and effects using the boAt Hearables App.

Display Info Particulars
Text Add custom text (up to 160 characters) for the speaker display.
Color Modify text color using options like Random, Sequence, or Color Grid (RGB/HSB).
Effects Adjust text animation speed and choose from preset animation modes.

Preview customizations on the Hearables app and tap 'Apply' to view changes on the speaker display. Changes are applied irrespective of the connectivity mode. Display settings reset to default when the speaker is turned off and must be reconfigured upon next use.

Charging

The PartyPal 600 has a built-in rechargeable battery. Connect one end of the provided charging cable to the charging input and the other end to a power supply. Turn off the speaker before charging. During charging, the LED indicator is red and will turn blue when fully charged (approx. 7 hours). A low battery tone sounds every 5 minutes when the battery is below 5%.

Note: It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use. Charge promptly when a low battery warning is emitted. Turn off the power switch and charge if the speaker shuts down due to low battery. Avoid using the speaker while charging to maintain battery performance. If completely discharged, recharge for at least an hour before use. If unused for a long time, charge it every 3 months.

Warnings

  • The built-in rechargeable battery is not replaceable. Do not dispose of it in fire or liquid to avoid safety risks and environmental pollution.
  • Charge the speaker according to the specified norms to protect the battery.
  • Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the product without authorization.
  • Do not submerge the product in water.
  • Keep the product away from liquids.
  • Store and use the product in an environment with normal temperature.
  • Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the product away from heat sources like radiators or stoves.
  • When cleaning, use a soft or slightly damp cloth. Do not use chemicals.
  • To extend product life and protect hearing, avoid listening at maximum volume for extended periods.
