Product Overview and Controls
Power ON/OFF
Utilize the power switch located on the unit to turn the speaker on or off.
Speaker Diagram and Controls
A diagram shows the top and side views of the boAt PartyPal 400 speaker with numbered controls. The top view displays controls labeled 1 through 21, including volume, bass/treble, echo, guitar, mic volume, mode, play/pause, next track, previous track, record, BT, repeat, and LED lights. Input ports are also indicated: TF, USB, AUX, GUITAR IN, MIC 1, MIC 2. Charging and AC input are also shown. A power button is located on the side.
Basic Functions
- Decrease '-' Button: Short press to decrease volume or value. Long press for quick decrease. Works for Bass/Treble, Mic, Echo, and Guitar volume.
- Increase '+' Button: Short press to increase volume or value. Long press for quick increase. Works for Bass/Treble, Mic, Echo, and Guitar volume.

Bass/Treble Control:
- Short press to switch between Bass and Treble control. The display shows "b" for Bass or "E" for Treble.
- Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the selected Bass or Treble level.

Echo/Guitar/MIC Volume Button:
- Short press to cycle through Echo, Guitar, and Mic volume controls. The display shows "E" for Echo, "C" for Guitar, or "n" for Mic volume.
- Use the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the selected volume.
Input Ports
- TF Card Input: Insert your TF (MicroSD) card here.
- USB Input: Insert your USB flash drive here.
- AUX Input: Connect your audio device using a 3.5mm AUX cable here.
- Guitar Input: Connect your electric guitar here.
- Mic Input 1: Connect the first microphone cable here.
- Mic Input 2: Connect the second microphone cable here.
Indicators and Buttons
- Charging Indicator: An LED light indicates charging status (Red while charging, Blue when fully charged).
- Mode Button: Short press to cycle through input modes (Bluetooth, USB, TF, FM, AUX). Long press to clear Bluetooth history or reset EQ settings to default.
- Play/Pause Button: Short press to play or pause music. Long press to activate TWS (True Wireless Stereo) pairing.
- Next Track: Short press to skip to the next track.
- Previous Track: Short press to skip to the previous track.
- Record Button: Short press to select EQ effect. Long press to record microphone voice and music. Press again to play the recording, and long press to stop playback.
- BT Button: Short press to switch to Bluetooth mode. Long press to disconnect the current Bluetooth connection. Press again to reconnect.
- Master Volume Knob: Turn clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
- Repeat Button: In USB and TF card modes, short press to select repeat mode (repeat all or repeat one).
- LED Lights Button: Long press to turn RGB LED lights on/off. Short press to cycle through different LED light effects.
- AC Input: Connect the provided power cable here for charging.
- Power Button: Turn the unit on or off.
Operating Instructions
Source Change
Short press the MODE button on the product to change the audio source between Bluetooth, AUX, USB, or Micro SD (TF card).
Bass/Treble Adjustment
Press the '+' or '-' buttons on the product to adjust the equalization by increasing or decreasing the level of bass or treble tones.
LED Effects
After turning on the device, you can press the LED Lights button to choose different LED light effects or turn them off/on.
Sound Effects - Recording Function
- After turning on the device, insert a flash memory or TF card into the respective slots.
- Long press the REC button on the control panel to record microphone voice and music.
- Long press the REC button again to stop the recording and play it back. Long press once more to stop playback.
Bluetooth Connectivity
- Short press the MODE or BT button until the LED display shows "BT". The Bluetooth icon ? on the LED display will flash, indicating pairing mode.
- Ensure your device (phone, tablet, etc.) is also in pairing mode and search for "PartyPal 400" in its device list.
- The Bluetooth icon ? will stop flashing and remain constant when the pairing is successfully completed.
Note: The speaker will automatically re-pair with a previously connected device when it is within range and Bluetooth is turned on. The speaker will play music from the device that was connected first via Bluetooth.
TWS Connection (True Wireless Stereo)
- Power on two identical PartyPal 400 speakers you wish to pair and ensure Bluetooth mode is active on both.
- Once the speakers are in Bluetooth Mode and your main speaker is connected to your Bluetooth device, long press the Play/Pause button (▶️) on the main speaker. The speaker will emit a tone indicating it has entered TWS pairing mode.
- You can now playback audio through both speakers simultaneously.
Notes:
- Once two units are paired for TWS, they will automatically re-pair if turned on within effective range.
- Short press the Play/Pause button (▶️) to disconnect TWS mode.
- For optimal TWS performance, the two speakers should be placed within a maximum distance of 5 meters from each other in open spaces.
AUX Mode
- Connect a compatible device with a 3.5mm stereo jack cable to the AUX input.
- Select AUX mode by pressing the MODE button on the speaker control panel.
- Ensure the connected device is producing an audio signal, then adjust the volume using the speaker's Volume Knob or the connected device's volume control.
Note: All music-playing-related functions can be controlled by the externally connected device when using AUX mode.
USB/TF Mode
- Power on the speaker and insert a flash memory (USB ?) or TF card (?️). The speaker will automatically start playing compatible music.
- To select the previous or next track, use the '⏪' or '⏩' buttons.
- To increase or decrease the volume, turn the Master Volume knob.
- To play or pause music, press the Play/Pause button (▶️).
Note: The speaker will disconnect any active Bluetooth connection to automatically play music from the USB or TF card. You can return to Bluetooth mode by pressing the BT button.
Microphone/Guitar
- The speaker features an additional guitar jack for connecting an electric guitar (?).
- To connect a microphone (?), turn on the power and insert the microphone cable into the designated microphone hole (MIC 1 or MIC 2).
Charging
- Connect the provided power cable to the AC Input port to charge the speaker.
- Turn off the speaker before charging. The LED indicator will turn red while charging and turn blue when charging is complete.
Note: The speaker's working time varies based on conditions like music volume and LED light usage. The built-in rechargeable battery is not replaceable. Do not dispose of the speaker in fire or liquid to avoid safety risks and environmental pollution.
Reset Functionality
In case the device is not functioning correctly, turn the power button (⏻) off and then back on.
