Tips: Please turn on the following permissions:

  • Allow ZUMIMALL to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN for camera connection.
  • Allow ZUMIMALL to receive pushed messages for motion detection alarms.

Screenshots show app permission settings for 'Wireless Data' (allowing WLAN or WLAN & Cellular Data) and 'Notifications' (allowing Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banners, Sounds, Badges).

4. Account Registration

New users must sign up for the ZUMIMALL App using an email address. Click 'Sign up' to create a new account and follow the on-screen steps.

Screenshots illustrate the account registration process: Step 1 shows the initial welcome screen with options to Log in or Sign Up. Step 2 shows the sign-up form where users enter their country and email. Step 3 shows the confirmation screen after entering account details.

5. Camera Setup

5.1 Preparations for connection

  • Insert a Micro SD card (NOT included) when the camera is off to automatically save videos from motion detection. Supports up to 128GB.
  • The camera only works with 2.4G Wi-Fi; it does not support 5G Wi-Fi.

An image shows the ZUMIMALL GX1C camera. Text '2.4G ONLY' is displayed. A screenshot shows the ZUMIMALL app interface with connected devices.

5.2 Connect Camera to App

Follow these steps to connect your camera to the ZUMIMALL app:

  • Tap '+' to add a new device.
  • Select 'Battery Camera'.
  • Tap 'Next'.
  • Reset the device by holding the RESET button for 4-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes red. Tap 'Next'.
  • Input your Wi-Fi password for a 2.4G network.
  • Prepare for scanning: Remove lens film and place the phone 5-8 inches from the camera.
  • Scan the QR code displayed on your phone with the camera when the indicator light is flashing slowly in red.
  • The app will show 'Device Found', 'Connecting...', and 'Registering device...'.
  • Ensure the camera and phone are close to the router for the best signal.
  • Installation is finished when the connection reaches 100%.

Screenshots guide the user through adding a device, selecting 'Battery Camera', resetting the device, inputting Wi-Fi details, preparing for scanning, scanning the QR code, and the connection progress.

6. Camera Installation

  • For wooden walls, screw the bracket directly onto the wall.
  • For cement or ceramic tile walls, drill holes and fasten with provided expansion screws.

To detach the camera from the bracket, rotate the button counterclockwise.

A diagram shows how to mount the camera bracket on a wall, with a detail showing a 360° rotation adjustment for the camera.

7. Monitoring Area

Adjust the camera so the angle between the PIR lens and moving objects is greater than 10 degrees. It is not recommended to position the PIR sensor vertically towards moving objects.

Diagrams illustrate the recommended monitoring angle. One shows a camera at an entrance with a moving object, indicating an angle θ > 10°. Another shows a camera detecting a person walking, highlighting the importance of the angle and avoiding direct vertical alignment of the PIR sensor.

8. Important Notes for Reducing False Alarms

To minimize false alarms, please observe the following:

  • Avoid installing the camera facing strong lights, mirrors, windows, or swimming pools.
  • Do not place the camera too close to areas with busy traffic.
  • The recommended detection distance for motion objects is within 10 meters (32ft).
  • Stay away from outlets such as air conditioner vents, humidifier outlets, and projector heat transfer vents.
  • Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from other wireless devices (e.g., microwave ovens, Wi-Fi routers) to prevent interference.

Tips: Higher sensitivity provides a longer detection distance and triggers more alarms.

  • Alarm notifications with sounds from the APP.
  • Pictures/videos automatically stored in SD Card or Cloud.

11.3 Records/Playback/Delete

On the 'MESSAGES' page, click 'Alarm Messages' to view all listed records. Use the provided buttons to playback or delete recordings.

  • The camera has a built-in large capacity battery. With 15 wake-ups per day, it can last 3-6 months on a full charge.
  • Recommended charger: DC 5V 1A/2A (not included). Full charging takes 8-16 hours.
  • When the battery level drops below 20%, the app will send a prompt to charge the device.

An image of the back of the camera shows charging indicators: 'Light in Red: Charging' and 'Light in Blue: 100% Charged'.

A screenshot displays the app's 'Devices' list, showing multiple camera feeds and an option to 'Add a Camera'.

14.2 Multi-User Sharing

To share a camera:

  • Step 1: Create a new App account (B) and log in on another phone.
  • Step 2: On the main phone (Account A), click 'share'.
  • Step 3: Use Account A to scan the QR code of Account B or input Account B's ID.
  • Step 4: Accept the sharing invitation on Account B and refresh the page.

A screenshot shows the 'Device Share' screen with options to share a camera, indicating 'The device is not shared to anyone' and prompting 'How do you share your camera with others?' with an 'Add' button.

15. Reset

To reset the camera:

  • Step 1: Keep pressing to remove the device from the app.
  • Step 2: Press the reset button for 5-10 seconds until you hear a 'Boogu' sound.
