3. Download & Install App
Download the ZUMIMALL APP from Google Play™ or App Store™. You can also scan the QR codes provided (if available) using a QR code scanner on your smartphone.
Note: Google Play™ is a trademark of Google Inc. App Store™ is a service mark of Apple Inc.
Important Tips: Please enable the following permissions in your phone settings:
- Allow ZUMIMALL to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN. Failure to do so may prevent camera connection.
- Allow ZUMIMALL to receive push notifications. This ensures you receive alarms when motion is detected.
4. Account Registration
New users must sign up for the ZUMIMALL App using an email address. Click "Sign up" to create a new account and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration process.
5. Add Camera to App
5.1 Preparation for Connection
- Insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, card not included) into the camera to save video clips. Alternatively, you can utilize the 7-day free cloud service. Without an SD card or cloud service, no video will be saved.
- The camera is compatible with 2.4G Wi-Fi only; it does not support 5G Wi-Fi.
- Ensure your phone is close to the router during the connection process for the best signal.
5.2 Connect Camera to App
Follow these steps within the ZUMIMALL app:
- Tap the '+' icon to add a new device.
- Select 'Battery Camera' from the device list.
- Ensure the device is powered on by holding the power button. If the device is asleep, press the battery camera button to wake it.
- Reset the device by pressing the RESET button for 4-5 seconds until the indicator light flashes red.
- Tap 'Next' to proceed.
- Input your Wi-Fi password for your 2.4G network.
- Scan the QR code displayed on your phone with the camera lens from a distance of 5-8 inches. You should hear a tone when the code is successfully scanned.
- The app will then connect the device to the network. Keep the camera and phone close to the router for optimal signal strength.
- Once the connection reaches 100%, the installation is finished.
6. Camera Installation
Magnetic Ball Holder Installation:
- Step 1: Choose a suitable location for the camera. Verify that the mounting structure and surface can support the camera's weight. Select a flat, clean, and indoor surface. Attach the bracket mount using the provided double-sided adhesive.
- Step 2: Allow the ball holder to cure for at least 24 hours before mounting the camera.
- Step 3: Adjust the camera's viewing angle. Tips: For safety, ensure the camera is mounted on a flat, clean, and indoor surface. If using an outdoor or rough surface (e.g., wood, cement, ceramic tile), follow the alternative installation instructions.
Outdoor Metal Mount Installation:
- Step 1: Fix the bracket to the desired installation location using the supplied screws.
- Step 2: Attach the camera to the metal mount and secure it.
- Step 3: Adjust the camera's viewing angle. Tips: Secure the Joint Lock tightly to prevent the camera from dropping.
7. Monitoring Area
To ensure optimal motion detection, avoid installing the camera vertically towards moving objects, as this may cause delays or missed events. It is recommended to position the camera so the angle between the PIR sensor and detected objects is greater than 10 degrees.
[Diagram Description: A visual showing a camera and a person walking. An arrow indicates the path of the moving object. A label points to the PIR sensor with the text "It's not suggested to make the PIR sensor vertically towards the moving objects". An angle symbol 'θ' is shown with 'θ > 10°' indicating the recommended angle.]
8. Notice for Reducing False Alarms
To minimize false alarms, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Do not install the camera facing strong lights, mirrors, windows, or swimming pools.
- Avoid placing the camera too close to areas with busy traffic.
- Maintain a recommended distance of within 10 meters (32 feet) between the camera and motion objects.
- Keep the camera away from air conditioner vents, humidifier outlets, projector heat transfer vents, and similar sources.
- Ensure the camera is at least 1 meter away from other wireless devices (e.g., microwave ovens, Wi-Fi routers) to prevent interference.

11.1 Body Detection Alarm Setting
The PIR 'Body Detection' feature is set to 'High' level by default but can be adjusted. Sensitivity levels and their corresponding detecting distances are:
Sensitivity | Detecting Distance (For moving and living objects) |
---|---|
Low | Up to 5 meters (16ft) |
High | Up to 8 meters (26ft) |
Tips: Higher sensitivity provides a longer detection distance and triggers more alarms.
11.2 Alarm Notification
This camera is designed to trigger alerts based on motion detection, not continuous recording. System reactions include:
- Alarm notifications with sounds from the APP.
- Automatic storage of pictures/videos in SD Card or Cloud.
11.3 Records/Playback/Delete
- On the 'MESSAGES' page, select 'Alarm Messages' to view all recorded events.
- Use the provided buttons to playback or delete recordings.
- Screenshots and manually recorded videos from live/history/cloud pages are saved in 'Pictures & Videos' and can be saved to your phone's Album or shared directly.
12. Two-Way Audio
To use the two-way audio feature:
- Navigate to the live view page in the app.
- Activate the audio option.
- Press and hold the intercom button to speak.
- Release the button to listen.
13. Battery Management
- The camera features a built-in 6000mAh 18650 battery, offering an estimated usage of 2-5 months based on waking up 15 times daily and playing video for 10 minutes each time.
- Tips: Battery life is influenced by how often the camera wakes up. Reducing 'Body Detection' sensitivity or occasionally turning it off can help conserve battery.
- When the battery level drops below 20%, the APP will send charging reminders.
- Charge the camera using a DC 5V1A/2A phone charger; full charging takes approximately 6 hours.
- To check the charging status, exit and re-enter the ZUMIMALL app while the camera is charging. The charging icon and battery bars will be visible on the live view page. (Adapter not included).
14. Multi Device Management
14.1 Multi Camera Management
You can add more devices by tapping the '+' icon within the app.
14.2 Multi-User Sharing
Notice: A single App account cannot log in on multiple devices simultaneously, nor can one camera be connected to multiple devices. However, cameras can be shared between accounts (A to B).
- Step 1: Create a new ZUMIMALL App account (B) and log in on a separate phone.
- Step 2: On the primary phone (Account A), click 'share'.
- Step 3: Use Account A to scan the QR code or input Account B's ID.
- Step 4: Accept the sharing invitation on Account B and refresh the page to confirm.
15. Reset
To reset the device:
- Locate the Reset Hole on the camera.
- Press the reset button inside the hole for 3-5 seconds until you hear a 'Boogu' sound.
- The device will revert to factory settings. You may need to remove the device from the ZUMIMALL app and reconnect it.
