Place the NAS in a stable temperature, low humidity environment, away from direct sunlight and liquids. Power off during thunderstorms or inconsistent voltage. Keep away from heat sources and humidity. Do not insert foreign objects. Clean with a moist wipe; avoid chemicals. Do not drop, squeeze, impact, or throw the device. Keep out of reach of children due to small parts. Do not dismantle or fix the device yourself; contact UGREEN customer service for repairs.
WARNING: Lithium Manganese Dioxide Battery
Contains a built-in Lithium Manganese Dioxide battery. Do not dismantle, crush, squeeze, or expose to fire. Do not expose to excessive temperatures. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Do not charge; replace if low. Ensure correct polarity when replacing. If battery leaks, avoid skin/eye contact; rinse with water and seek medical attention. Keep depleted batteries away from children and dispose of/recycle properly.
Hardware Setup
Before Setup: Do NOT insert or remove hardware while the NAS is powered on. Shut down and disconnect power before any installation, removal, or maintenance to prevent data loss or damage.
Tool Preparation
Prepare the included screwdriver, included screws, and at least one 3.5'' or 2.5'' SATA hard drive.
Note: Use new drives. NAS will format drives, erasing ALL data. Back up important data. For RAID mode, use drives of the same capacity for optimal storage and data protection.
Pull out Hard Drive Tray
1. Remove the top cover.
2. Gently press the buckle on the tray end and pull out the drive tray.
Install 3.5'' Hard Drive
1. Place the drive onto the tray, aligning screw holes. Metal connectors should face down.
2. Secure the drive with screws.
3. Insert the loaded tray back and replace the top cover.
Install 2.5'' Hard Drive
1. Flip the tray to its back and align the drive's screw holes with the tray's screw spaces.
2. Secure the drive with screws.
3. Insert the loaded tray back and replace the top cover.
Start up Your NAS
1. Connect the NAS to a LAN port on your router or switch using an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect the power adapter to the device.
3. Press the power button to turn it on. Press and hold for approximately 5 seconds to turn off.
Note: For optimal data transfer, use a router/switch with 10-Gigabit LAN ports or higher and the included Ethernet cable. You can configure automatic startup in "Control Panel" > "Hardware & Power" after initial setup.
Warning: Use only the original or a safety-certified power adapter meeting the device's specifications.
Firmware Update
Ensure a stable power supply during firmware updates. Do NOT disconnect power during the process.
