Product Overview
The UGREEN NASync DH4300 Plus features an NFC detection area, power button, power indicator, HDMI port, power port, network indicator, hard drive indicator, reset hole, a 2.5GbE port, a Type-C USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.

Notices
- Place the NAS device as referred to in the manual.
- Use the NAS in an environment with stable temperature and low humidity. Avoid direct sunlight or liquids.
- In case of thunderstorms or inconsistent voltage, power off the device.

WARNING: Lithium Manganese Dioxide Battery
- Do not dismantle, crush, squeeze, or expose the built-in battery to fire.

- Seek medical attention immediately if the battery is swallowed or placed inside any part of the body.

III. Hardware Setup
Before Setup
Do NOT insert or remove any hardware components while the NAS device is powered on. Ensure the device is shut down and disconnected from the power supply before performing any installation, removal, or maintenance tasks.
Tool Preparation

- At least one 3.5" or 2.5" SATA hard drive
Note:
- It is recommended to use new drives.
- The NAS system will format drives, erasing ALL existing data. Back up important data before installation.
- For RAID mode, use hard drives with the same capacity to maximize storage utilization and reduce data loss risk.
Pull out Hard Drive Tray
- Remove the top cover.
- Gently press the buckle on the tray end, then pull out the drive tray.
Install 3.5" Hard Drive
- Install the drive: Place the drive onto the tray, aligning screw holes. Metal connectors should face down.
- Secure the drive: Tighten screws to fasten the hard drive to the tray.
- Put back the tray: Insert the loaded drive tray and push it to the end, then replace the top cover.
Install 2.5" Hard Drive
- Install the drive: Flip the tray to its back and align the four empty screw spaces with the screw holes on the tray.
- Secure the drive: Tighten screws to fasten the hard drive to the tray.
- Put back the tray: Insert the loaded drive tray and push it to the end, then replace the top cover.
Start up Your NAS
- Connect the NAS to a LAN port on your router or switch using an Ethernet cable.
- Connect the power adapter to the device.
- Press the power button to turn it on. To turn off, press and hold the button for about 5 seconds.
Note: Use a router or switch with 10-Gigabit LAN ports or higher for optimal data transfer efficiency. After powering on, you can configure automatic startup in the "UGREEN NAS" app under "Control Panel" > "Hardware & Power".
Warning: Only use the original or a safety-certified power adapter that meets the device's specifications.
Firmware Update
ONLY update firmwares with a stable power supply. Do NOT disconnect the power supply during the update process.
IV. Software Installation
The UGOS Pro system allows quick access to manage NAS services across multiple devices and operating systems. Access can be through Web browsers, PCs (Windows/Mac), mobiles and tablets (Android/iOS), and TVs (Apple TV/Android TV).
Download App
Option 1: Website
Go to https://nas.ugreen.com/pages/app-download and select the corresponding app to install.
Option 2: App Store
Search for and install "UGREEN NAS" from your phone's app store (App Store or Google Play). The app is available for iOS 15.0+ and Android 7.0+.
Option 3: NFC Detection
Enable NFC on your phone or tablet, place it near the NAS device's NFC detection area. Go to the download page and select the appropriate app for your system.
Option 4: Scan the QR Code
Use your phone/tablet camera to scan the QR code provided or on the device to install the corresponding app.
Register Account
Option 1: Add the NAS Device via Browser
- Ensure your NAS is powered on and connected to the same local network as your computer.
- Open a browser and visit find.ugnas.com. The system will search for devices on the network.
- Select the device and click "Connect". If the device is "Not Initialized", complete the initialization steps.
- Initialization: Name the device, create an administrator account and password (at least 6 characters, mix of upper/lower case), and optionally bind an email address for UGREENlink remote access.
Option 2: Add the NAS Device via UGREEN NAS on Your Computer
- Ensure your NAS is powered on and connected to the same local network as your computer.
- Open UGREEN NAS, click "New Device Registration". The system will search for devices.
- Select the device. If it's "NEW", click "Register". If already registered, click "Connect".
- Initialization: Name the device, create an administrator account and password, and optionally bind an email address.
Option 3: Add the NAS Device via UGREEN NAS on Your Phone/Tablet
- Ensure your NAS is powered on and connected to the same local network as your phone/tablet.
- Enable NFC and place your device near the NAS NFC detection area, or open UGREEN NAS and click "New Device Registration".
- Select the device. If it's "NEW", click "Register". If already registered, click "Connect".
- Initialization: Name the device, create an administrator account and password, and optionally bind an email address.
Manage Storage
Setting up a storage pool and volume is required to use UGREEN NAS. This allows storage of application data and personal files.
- Create Storage Pool and Volume: From the UGOS Pro interface, find "Create Volume" on the "New User Guide" wizard or open "Storage" > "Storage pool & Volume".
- Storage Pool: A storage pool is a collection of drives protected by RAID. Refer to the Knowledge Center for RAID mode details.
Invite Users
Admin: Log into the UGREEN NAS app, go to "Control Panel" > "User Management", select "Add" and "Create", then fill in the required information to create a new user. Provide the user with the device's UGREENlink ID and account credentials.
Invited User: Install the UGREEN NAS app, log in using the UGREENlink ID and credentials provided by the administrator. Users can also be invited via QR code or a shared link. If remote access is not preferred, users on the same LAN can access the device using its IP address.
Enable UGREENlink
UGREENlink remote access allows remote connection to your UGREEN NAS over the Internet without complex network configurations.
- Go to "Control Panel" > "Remote access".
- Check "UGREENlink remote access" and ensure you are logged into your UGREEN cloud account.
- Enter a desired, unique UGREENlink ID and click "Apply".
- The access URL for the UGOS Pro web version will be displayed, and you can use your UGREENlink ID to log in to the UGREEN NAS app.
Reset Network & Password
- Power on the NAS, insert a pin into the "RESET" button for 5 seconds until a short beep is heard. The device will restart.
- The white network indicator will stay on, allowing you to search and connect on the LAN.
- Log in with the "admin" account (no password) for password resets.
- Follow the guide to configure your administrator password.
Reset the Device's System
- Power on the NAS, insert a pin into the "RESET" button for 5 seconds (short beep), then continue holding for 8 seconds until 3 beeps are heard. The device will restart and reset the system.
- The white network indicator will stay on, indicating the device is ready.
- You will need to reconfigure the initialization settings.
Note: The reset process does not affect data stored on the drive but resets all system and network configurations.
