Important Safety Instructions
DANGER - TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK:
- Always place humidifier on a firm, flat surface. A waterproof mat or pad is recommended. Never place on a rug, carpet, or finished floor that may be damaged by water or moisture.
- Always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.
- DO NOT reach for a unit that has fallen into water; unplug it immediately.
- DO NOT place or store the unit where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
- DO NOT place or drop into water or other liquids.
- DO NOT use water above 86°F (30°C).

- Use this unit only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by Homedics.

- Always unplug the unit when filling or moving the unit.
- Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls or removing the plug.
- DO NOT place the humidifier near heat sources, such as a stove, and do not expose the humidifier to direct sunlight.
- DO NOT carry this unit by the power cord or use the power cord as a handle.
- To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove the plug from the outlet.
CAUTION: All servicing of this humidifier must be performed by authorized Homedics service personnel only.
CAUTION - PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING:
- This product is intended for household use only.
- NEVER cover the unit while it is operating.
- Always keep the cord away from high temperatures and fire.
- Perform regular maintenance on the ultrasonic membrane.
- NEVER use detergent to clean the ultrasonic membrane.
- NEVER clean the ultrasonic membrane by scraping with a hard object.
- DO NOT attempt to adjust or repair the unit. Servicing must be performed by professional or qualified personnel.
- Stop using this unit if there is an unusual noise or smell.
- Unplug this unit when not in use for a long period of time.
- DO NOT touch the water or any parts of the unit that are covered by water while the unit is on or plugged in.
- NEVER operate without water in the tank.
- Only use water in the tank.
- NEVER use any additive in the water including essential oils.
- DO NOT wash, adjust, or move this unit without first unplugging it from the electrical outlet.
- Keep this unit out of reach of children. Do not allow children to use this unit without supervision.
- DO NOT use outdoors. For indoor use only.
CAUTION: DO NOT place a humidifier on furniture. Always use a waterproof mat or pad on wood floors.
Product Diagram and Components
The humidifier consists of several parts:
- 360° Rotating Mist Nozzle: Located at the top, directs mist output.
- Tank Cover: Covers the water tank.
- Water Tank: Holds the water.
- Demineralization Cartridge (1 pc): Reduces mineral deposits (white dust).
- Essential Oil Pads (3 pcs): For use with the aromatherapy tray.
- Float: Indicates water level.
- Water Reservoir: Base unit holding the transducer/ultrasonic membrane.
- Transducer/Ultrasonic Membrane: Vibrates to create mist. Accessible by twisting the water reservoir from the water tank.
- Control Panel: Located on the base, includes buttons and digital display.
- Power Plug: Connects the unit to an electrical outlet.
- Essential Oil Tray: Located at the base, for adding essential oils.
Control Panel Functions
The control panel features the following:
- Digital Display: Shows humidity level (e.g., 45%).
- Power Button (⏻): Turns the humidifier on/off.
- Mist Output Button (?): Adjusts mist output from 1 (low) to 3 (high).
- Night-Light/Display Lights Button (?): Controls the unit's lights.
- Programmable Humidistat Button (☁️): Sets desired humidity level (35%-55% in 5% increments). Unit turns off when level is reached and on when humidity drops 5% below. Set to 'CO' for continuous operation.
- Timer Button (⏱️): Sets auto-shutoff timer (4, 8, 12 hours, or 0 for off).
- Clean Reminder Indicator (?): Illuminates red when cleaning is needed.
Operation
How to Fill
CAUTION: Turn off and unplug the unit before filling.
NOTE: Use two hands to carry the water tank. The top-fill tank can be filled with a pitcher or at the faucet. For best results, use distilled water.
Using Demineralization Cartridges
The demineralization cartridge helps reduce white dust caused by hard water. Replace every 30-40 fillings, or more often with very hard water.
To Fill with a Pitcher:
- Before first use, remove and soak cartridge in water for 10 minutes.
- Remove tank cover.
- Fill tank with clean, cool or distilled water to the MAX line. DO NOT use warm or hot water.
- Add soaked cartridge to water tank.
- Replace tank cover.
To Fill at the Faucet:
- Before first use, remove and soak cartridge in water for 10 minutes.
- Remove tank cover and water tank.
- Fill tank with clean, cool or distilled water to the MAX line. DO NOT use warm or hot water.
- Add soaked cartridge to water tank.
- Reassemble, ensuring all parts are seated firmly.
About White Dust
White dust is mineral residue from hard water. It is not a defect but a result of minerals suspended in the water.
How to Use the Oil Tray
CAUTION: Only use the oil tray for essential oils; placing oil elsewhere will damage the humidifier.
- Locate the oil tray at the back/bottom of the humidifier base.
- Push to open and remove the tray.
- Use a pre-installed essential oil pad (3 included).
- Add 5-7 drops of essential oil to the pad.
- Place the tray back and push to close. Scent activates when mist is on.
NOTE: Use only with included Homedics pads. Remove used pads when storing for long periods.
Essential Oils and Pets: Use caution. Keep oils and diffusers out of reach of pets. Diffuse in well-ventilated areas and allow pets to leave the room if needed. Observe pet reactions carefully. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Seek medical attention if ingested.
How to Operate
- Power (⏻): Press to turn on/off.
- Mist Output (?): Press to cycle through levels 1-3. Use the 360° nozzle to direct mist. Do not point at walls or furniture.
- Night-Light/Display Lights (?): Press once for night-light. Second press keeps night-light on, turns off display. Third press turns off both. Fourth press turns on display lights.
- Programmable Humidistat (☁️): Default is 'CO' (continuous). Set 35%-55% humidity in 5% increments. Unit turns off at set level, on when humidity drops 5% below. Press until 'CO' to disable programming.
- Timer (⏱️): Press to cycle through 4, 8, 12 hours, or 0 (off). Ensure tank is full before using timer.
- Clean Reminder (?): Red LED indicates cleaning is needed. After cleaning, press and hold the reset button until the LED turns off.
Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION: Turn off and unplug before cleaning.
Cleaning the Transducer/Ultrasonic Membrane
Clean when the red indicator light is on to remove mineral deposits.
- Remove tank cover and set aside.
- Remove tank and pour out water.
- Twist water reservoir to remove from tank base and pour out water.
- Reattach water reservoir.
- Fill tank with 13oz/385mL water.
- Swish water in tank.
- Empty water from reservoir.
- Clean transducer/membrane with a 50/50 vinegar/water solution on a cotton swab. Wipe with a damp swab.
- NEVER touch transducer/membrane with fingers.
- NEVER submerge base in water or liquid.
- After cleaning, reassemble, fill with water, plug in, and turn on.
- Press and hold the clean indicator/reset button until the red LED turns off.
Cleaning the Tank
- Daily: Empty and rinse tank before refilling.
- Weekly: Use 50/50 vinegar/lukewarm water to remove scale/buildup.
Cleaning the Oil Tray
Open tray, remove pad. Change pads for different scents. Reuse pads for same scent. Wipe tray interior with a soft cloth. Replace pad and close tray.
NOTE: Remove oil pad when storing.
Cleaning the Surface
Wipe unit surface with a soft, damp cloth.
Storage
Before storing, clean tank, reservoir, float, and transducer/membrane with 50/50 vinegar/water. Rinse and dry completely. Clean oil tray with a soft cloth. After storage, rinse tank with water before use.
Troubleshooting
