Important Information
Battery
The battery installed at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage. If the display becomes dim, replace the battery at a CASIO authorized service center or a CASIO distributor.
Water Resistance
For all categories of watches, the following are prohibited:
- Pressing buttons underwater.
- Setting hands underwater.
- Unscrewing the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Water Resistance Categories
Watches are classified into categories (I to V) according to their degree of water resistance. Consult the table below to determine the correct usage for your watch.
Category | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Car Washing, etc. | Underwater Swimming, Diving, etc. | Scuba Diving |

Notes:
I: Watches are not water resistant. Avoid all moisture.
Water Resistance Definitions
II WR (Water Resistant): Indicates water resistance according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause problems.
III Water resistance to 5 Bar (50 meters): The watch can withstand water pressure of the specified level and can be used while showering and for brief swimming.
IV Water resistance to 10 Bar (100 meters): The watch can be used for regular swimming and snorkeling.
V Water resistance to 20 Bar (200 meters): The watch can be used for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Caring for Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.
- The gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the inside of the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest dealer or CASIO distributor.
General Care and Precautions
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although designed for active daily use, wear the watch carefully and avoid drops.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances such as gasoline, solvents, or spray cleaners.
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions from these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
- Some models feature silk-screened designs on the strap. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the prints.
For Watches with Plastic Straps
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Exposure of plastic straps to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth at the earliest opportunity.
For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually disappear. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause the fluorescent color to discolor. Ensure that moisture is removed from the fluorescent surface and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Strong friction of a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
Condensation
Slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass in conditions of rapid temperature changes. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.

Crown Operations
Some models with 100m or 200m water resistance have a screw-in crown. Before operating the crown, unscrew it to unlock (turn towards you), then pull it out. Do not use excessive force when pulling the crown. The watch is not water resistant when the crown is unscrewed. After performing the necessary operations, return the crown to its original position and screw it back in to lock.
Diagram Description: A watch crown is shown. An arrow indicates unscrewing the crown (turning it towards the viewer) for unlocking.
If Your Watch Has a Rotating Bezel...
Turn the bezel until the marker aligns with the minute hand. After some time, you can tell how much time has passed since you aligned the marker with the minute hand.
