READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION FIRST

Battery

The battery installed at the factory discharges during delivery and storage. When you first notice signs of insufficient power (dim display), it is necessary to replace the battery at the nearest authorized CASIO service center or a CASIO distributor.

Water Resistance

For all categories of watches, the following are prohibited:

  • Pressing buttons underwater.
  • Moving hands underwater.
  • Unscrewing the crown underwater.

If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.

Watches are classified by water resistance rating (from I to V). Check your watch's rating using the table below to determine correct usage.

RatingCase MarkingSplash, Rain & SplashesSwimming, WashingScuba DivingFree Diving
I-
IIWATER RESISTANT✔️
III50 M WATER RESISTANT✔️✔️
IV100 M WATER RESISTANT✔️✔️✔️
V200 M WATER RESISTANT / 300 M WATER RESISTANT✔️✔️✔️✔️

Notes:

1. Watch is not protected from water. Avoid any moisture.

II WR (Water Resistant) means waterproof according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water causes no problems.

III Water resistance 5 Bar (50 meters) withstands specified water pressure; suitable for showering and brief swimming.

IV Water resistance 10 Bar (100 meters) suitable for normal swimming and snorkeling.

V Water resistance 20 Bar (200 meters) suitable for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixture).

Care for your watch

  • Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
  • Although the watch is designed for active daily use, wear it carefully and avoid drops.
  • Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
  • To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners).
  • When you are not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
  • Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, case, and polish.
  • Some watch models feature silk-screened images on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging these prints.

For watches with plastic straps...

  • You may find a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by simply wiping with a cloth.
  • Sweat or moisture on plastic straps, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, breakage, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for a plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.

For watches with fluorescent cases and straps...

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
  • Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
  • Prolonged contact with any other damp surface can cause discoloration of the fluorescent color. Check if moisture has been removed from the fluorescent surface and avoid its contact with other surfaces.
  • Friction of a surface with applied fluorescent color against another surface may cause the fluorescent color to transfer to that surface.
  • In conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.
  • CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the use of this watch, and does not accept any claims from third parties.
  • Watches may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.

Operations

SETTING THE CURRENT TIME

  1. When the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position, pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. Turn the crown to set the current time.
  3. Return the crown to its original position.

? Note:

  • When setting the current time, consider the time before and after noon (AM/PM).
  • Before finishing setting the current time, first move the minute hand 4-5 minutes past the desired time, then set the exact time.

SETTING THE DATE

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. Turn the crown towards you to set the date.
  3. Return the crown to its original position.

? Note:

  • The date indicator changes up to 31. For months with fewer than 31 days, you must change the date manually.
  • To ensure the date changes correctly at midnight, do not change the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.

CROWN OPERATIONS

Some water-resistant models (100m and 200m) are equipped with a screw-down crown. Before performing operations using the crown, first unscrew it to unlock by turning it towards you, then pull the crown out. Do not use excessive force when pulling the crown. When the crown is unscrewed, the watch becomes unprotected from water. After completing the necessary operations with the crown, return it to its original position, then screw it in to lock.

[Diagram: Illustration showing a watch crown being unscrewed to unlock.]

Using the Stopwatch

If the watch has a rotating bezel...

Rotate the bezel until the mark (▼) aligns with the minute hand. After some time, you can tell how much time has passed since the mark was aligned with the minute hand.

[Diagram: Watch face showing bezel alignment. An arrow points from a bezel mark to the minute hand. Labels indicate 'Current time', 'Start', and 'Elapsed time'.]

USING THE STOPWATCH

The stopwatch can measure elapsed time in 1-second intervals. The measurement of elapsed time is limited to 9 minutes and 59 seconds.

[Diagram: Flowchart illustrating stopwatch operations. 'Start' → 'Stop' → 'Restart' → 'Stop' → 'Reset'.]

[Diagram: Flowchart illustrating split time operations. 'Start' → 'Split' → 'Split' → 'Stop' → 'Reset'.]

[Diagram: Flowchart illustrating split and two finish times. 'Start' → 'Split' (1st athlete finishes, display time) → 'Stop' (2nd athlete finishes, display time) → 'Reset'.]

⚠️ Attention! Do not use the stopwatch when the crown is pulled out.

? Note: Elapsed time measurement will automatically stop 10 minutes after measurement begins.

STOPWATCH HAND CORRECTION

If the stopwatch hands do not return to the zero mark after resetting the measurement results, perform the following steps to correct their initial position:

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. Use button A (clockwise) or button B (counter-clockwise) to move the stopwatch second and minute hands to the zero mark.
    • Hold down one of these buttons for accelerated movement of the stopwatch hands. Accelerated movement stops when the button is released.
    • The movement of the stopwatch minute hand is synchronized with the movement of the stopwatch second hand.
  3. After completing all operations for correcting the initial position of the stopwatch hands, return the crown to its original position.

⚠️ Attention! When the crown is pulled out, timekeeping is suspended. It is necessary to reset the current time after completing the correction of the stopwatch hands' initial position.

LOW BATTERY LEVEL

  • When the battery level is low, the second hand moves in 2-second intervals.
  • When the second hand starts moving in 2-second intervals, replace the battery as soon as possible.
  • The stopwatch does not operate when the battery level is low.
  • If the battery level drops to a low level during stopwatch operation, stopwatch operation stops, and the stopwatch hands return to their initial position.
