Introduction
This document provides instructions for operating your Casio watch. Please read carefully to ensure proper use and maintenance.
Water Resistance
Casio watches are tested for water resistance according to ISO 2281. The water resistance level is indicated on the watch dial or case back.
- WR (Water Resistant): Suitable for daily use, protection against splashes and light rain.
- 50M (5 Bar): Suitable for swimming and light water sports.
- 100M (10 Bar): Suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and water sports. Not suitable for diving.
- 200M (20 Bar): Suitable for swimming, snorkeling, water sports, and recreational diving.
- 300M (30 Bar): Suitable for professional diving and saturation diving.
Important Notes on Water Resistance:
- Water resistance is not a permanent feature. It may degrade over time due to aging of seals or damage to the watch case.
- Do not operate the crown or buttons while submerged in water.
- Avoid exposing the watch to sudden temperature changes, as this can cause condensation.
- Rinse the watch with clean water and dry it with a soft cloth after exposure to salt water or dirt.
General Watch Features
Your Casio watch may include features such as:
- Timekeeping: Displays hours, minutes, and seconds.
- Date Display: Shows the current date.
- Stopwatch: Measures elapsed time, split times, and lap times.
- Alarm: Provides audible alerts at set times.
- Illumination: Allows viewing the display in low light conditions (may be an electro-luminescent backlight or LED).
Operating Your Watch
Your watch is operated using its buttons. The specific functions of each button may vary depending on the mode. Typically, watches have buttons labeled A, B, C, and D, often located at the 2, 4, 8, and 10 o'clock positions respectively, or similar arrangements.
