Structural Diagram
The following components are part of the Deerma humidifier:
- 1. Mist Outlet Cover: The part where the mist is released.
- 2. Water Tank: Holds the water for humidification.
- 3. Water Tank Cover: Covers the water tank.
- 4. Power Line: Connects the device to the power source.
- 5. Main Body: The central unit of the humidifier.
- 6. Indicator Light: Shows the operational status.
- 7. Button: The control button for power and gear selection.
- 8. Filter: A protective mesh.
- 9. Air Filter: Filters the air intake.
Principle of Operation
The Deerma humidifier utilizes ultrasonic technology. It generates 1.7 million high-frequency oscillations per second, atomizing water into microscopic particles (1-5 microns). These fine particles are then dispersed into the air by a pneumatic device, achieving uniform air humidification. This helps maintain ideal indoor humidity levels and prevent static electricity.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance and longevity of the humidifier.
- To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean the water trough and water tank.
- Frequently clean the ultrasonic transducer and filter to prevent hard-to-remove scale buildup.
- Before cleaning, always unplug the device. When unplugging, hold the plug firmly, not the power cord. ?
- Do not use chemical solvents, gasoline, or polishing powder for cleaning. Clean the device with clean water.
- Clean components with a soft cloth. For stubborn scale in the water trough, use a cleaning agent recommended or authorized by Deerma. Dissolve citric acid in hot water (10ml citric acid per 1g water), apply to the scaled area, let it sit for 5 minutes, then gently clean with a brush until the scale is removed.
- Remove the filter from the water tank cover. Soak it in white vinegar for 15 minutes, shake it, and then rinse with clean water. The filter's function will be restored.
- Regularly empty and rinse the water in the water trough and tank to keep the humidifier clean.
- If the device will not be used for an extended period, clean all components, dry them, and store them in the original packaging or a dry place.
Warm Reminders
- Usage: Before adding water, remove the mist nozzle cover. Invert the water tank, remove its cover, and add water directly or through the side filling hole. Re-attach the cover and place the tank back on the base.
- Water in Base: The humidifier uses an ultrasonic atomizer. The water tank is for storage; it is normal to find some water in the base's water trough.
- Mist Adjustment: The mist output intensity can be adjusted. If water accumulates around the device during use, it may indicate high room humidity; adjust the mist intensity downwards.
