Introduction

Welcome to use Deerma humidifier. Please read this manual carefully before use.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Safety Precautions

General Safety Precautions

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Clean the water tank every three days.
• Be aware that high humidity levels may encourage the growth of biological organisms in the environment.
• Do not permit the area around the humidifier to become damp or wet. If dampness occurs, turn the output of the humidifier down. If the humidifier output volume cannot be turned down, use the humidifier intermittently. Do not allow absorbent materials, such as carpeting, curtains, drapes, or tablecloths, to become damp.
• WARNING: Micro-organisms that may be present in the water or in the environment where the appliance is used or stored, can grow in the reservoir and be blown in the air causing very serious health risks when the water is not renewed and the tank is not cleaned properly every 3 days.
• The supply voltage must be consistent with the rated voltage of the product. If the supply voltage is not consistent with the rated voltage, please contact the distributor and do not use the product.
• Please place the humidifier at room temperature for 30 minutes before using it to prevent water tank from being damaged due to sudden change of temperature.
• Please use it at normal room temperature (5°C to 40°C).
• Please place in a flat position to avoid tilting.
• Please do not put the humidifier directly on the wood floor when using, to protect the wood floor from being deformed and damaged due to moisture.
• Please place the humidifier 2 m away from furnitures and electrical appliances to avoid damp.
• Keep it away from heat source and avoid direct sunlight.
• Never add hot water above 40°C into the water tank to avoid damaging the appliance.
• Do not let water flow into the appliance from the air outlet. Please wipe the water on the body of appliance with a dry cloth to avoid damaging the appliance.
• When the room temperature is below 0°C, please pour out the water in the water tank to avoid damaging the appliance due to freezing.
• Please do not put metals, chemicals, detergents into the water tank, or the bad atomization phenomenon will occur.
• Please turn off the power and unplug the plug before pouring out the water in the tank.
• Be sure to turn off the power and unplug the plug before moving, cleaning and filling water; do not move the appliance at will during working.
• Do not inject water into mist outlet and air outlet.
• When cleaning, please avoid water entering the appliance.
• Do not disassemble the original parts of the appliance.

Electrical Safety Precautions

• Please use the voltage and frequency as specified for this appliance: 220-240V~50-60Hz.
• Do not disassemble, repair or reconstruct the appliance without permission.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar professional maintenance department or specialist.
• In case of any abnormal phenomenon, please unplug the power plug immediately. It must be repaired by the manufacturer or its maintenance department or similar specialist.
• Clean dust on power plug regularly.
• Please turn off the power and unplug it before cleaning or moving.
• When unplugging the power plug, please hold the power plug tightly instead of pulling the supply lead.
• Do not move or turn over the appliance with power supply or water in the water tank.
• Do not touch the water and components in the water tank with power supply.
• Do not cover air inlet and mist outlet with towel and other items when the humidifier is working.
• This is not a toy. To avoid accidents, keep it away from infants and children; do not place it in a crib, stroller or playpen; do not allow infants and children to play with and use the humidifier.
• Do not put the humidifier on the inclined table; it should be placed in a flat and firm place.
• Please do not add essence or other similar substances not produced or supervised by the company in the water tank of the humidifier.
• Do not use it in the kitchen, keep it away from heat source, avoid direct sunlight, and keep it 2 m away from furniture and other household appliances to avoid damp.
• Please unplug the plug when filling with water.

Product Usage

Follow these steps to use the humidifier:

1. Put the humidifier on the level surface, take down the water tank, turn it over and unscrew the tank lid at the bottom of tank.
2. Inject appropriate clean tap water.
3. Screw up the tank lid.
4. Stably place the water tank on the engine base, plug into the socket. Please ensure the working voltage consistent with the service voltage before powering on.

Operating Principle

The Deerma humidifier atomizes water into ultrafine particles (1µm-5µm) according to the principle that ultrasonic wave generates 1.7 million times of high-frequency vibration per second and diffuses the water mist into air through its pneumatic device, so as to humidify air evenly. The humidifier can maintain ideal room humidity and prevent static electricity.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Regularly clean the water tank, water slot and atomizer plate. Be sure to power off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
• External cleaning of humidifier: Wipe up the external surface with soft and clean wet cloth under 40°C.
• DO NOT use the hard object for cleaning to avoid damage of parts.
• DO NOT clean with chemical detergent.
• Often replace the dated water in the water tank and maintain the humidifier inside cleaning.
• Keep the internal humidifier dry for long-term nonuse.

Fault Analysis and Troubleshooting

Indicator is not lit without air and mist?

Cause analysis:

1. The power line plug is not connected.
2. The power line is damaged.
3. If the current set humidity is lower than the ambient humidity, the humidifier does not mist.
4. If the humidity has reached the set value, the humidifier does not mist.

Handling method:

1. Check the power plug and connect it.
2. Adjust the humidity to a higher value until mist on.

The power indicator light is lit without air and with air or no air is blown out of the air outlet?

Cause analysis:

1. No water in the water tank.
2. Atomizer is damaged or fan is damaged.

Handling method:

1. Add water to the water tank.

The sprayed mist is smelly

Cause analysis:

1. It is a new product and the water in the water tank is not clean.

Handling method:

1. Wash the water tank or replace the water.

Less mist volume

Cause analysis:

1. Too much scale on the atomizer plate or too much impurities in the water.

Handling method:

1. Clean the atomizer plate and replace with clean water.
