Cleaning and Maintenance
- Clean the water basin and water tank periodically for best performance.
- Regularly clean the transducer and filter to prevent dirt accumulation, as hardened dirt is difficult to remove.
- Turn off the power and unplug the appliance before cleaning. Hold the power plug when unplugging, not the power cord.
- Do not use chemicals, gasoline, polishing powder, or similar substances on the humidifier surface. Avoid detergents; clean water is recommended.
- Use a soft cloth for regular cleaning. For stubborn limescale in the water basin, use Deerma-manufactured or supervised detergent. Dissolve citric acid in hot water (60°C) at a ratio of 1g citric acid to 10ml water. Pour the solution onto the scaled area, let it sit for 5 minutes, then gently scrub with a brush.
- Replace water in the basin and tank frequently to keep the humidifier clean.
- If the appliance is not used for a long time, clean all components, dry them, and store them in the original packing box or a dry place.
Operation Instructions
- Remove the water tank from the main body.
- Method 1 (Vertical Filling): Rotate and remove the water valve. Place the water tank vertically, align the water inlet with the faucet, turn on the faucet to fill the tank, and then tighten the water valve.
- Method 2 (Horizontal Filling): Rotate and loosen the water valve, pull it out to a proper position. Place the water tank horizontally, align the side water inlet with the faucet, turn on the faucet to fill the tank, and then tighten the water valve. This method is useful when vertical placement is not possible.
- Place the filled water tank back onto the main body and plug in the power cord. Press the "Power" button to turn on the appliance and the "Mist" button to regulate mist output.
Remote Control Operation: The functions and buttons on the remote control are identical to those on the appliance.
Functions
Upon powering on, the appliance beeps once, and the standby indicator (1) illuminates. The display panel shows the current humidity.
- Power Button: Press to power on/off the appliance. The appliance beeps once upon powering on, defaulting to maximum mist output (all 4 mist output indicator stripes are lit). Pressing again powers off the appliance, turning off the display panel but leaving the standby indicator (1) on. Pressing and holding the "Power" button for 3 seconds turns off the display panel; any button press will reactivate it.
- Mist Button: Adjusts mist output among three modes: High (03 - maximum output), Medium (02 - moderate output), and Low (01 - minimum output). The corresponding number of indicator stripes on the display panel will light up (1 for low, 2 for medium, 4 for high). The numerical area displays the current humidity.
- Time Button: Activates the timing function. Pressing the button cycles through available time settings. The indicator for the selected time flashes for 3 seconds, and the humidifier operates in timing mode with the timing indicator (1) illuminated. The numerical area shows current humidity. To cancel timing, press the "Time" button and set the value to "00". The timing indicator (1) will turn off after 3 seconds.
Automatic Humidity Control: When activated, the mist output defaults to "High" until the set humidity level is reached. The appliance then enters standby. If humidity drops below the set level, humidification resumes.
Anti-dry Protection: If the water tank is empty, the appliance beeps three short times, and the red dryness-warning indicator flashes. The display panel remains on. After refilling the tank, the indicator turns off, and normal operation resumes.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
Indicators are off, no indication or mist. | Power is not on, or there is a power supply issue. | Power on again. If the issue persists, contact Deerma customer service. |
No mist after powering on. | Water tank needs refilling; anti-dry protection is active. | Fill the water tank and restart. If the issue persists, contact Deerma customer service. |
Mist amount is too small. | Limescale on the sprayer plate or foreign matter in the water. | Clean the sprayer plate and replace the water with clean water. |
Abnormal noise. | Low water level in the tank or uneven placement surface. | Fill the water basin and place the humidifier on a flat, solid surface. |
Caution: If problems persist, contact the Deerma maintenance center or dealer. Unauthorized personnel should not dismantle the humidifier.
Tips
- Operation: Before filling, remove the nozzle cap, turn the tank over, remove the tank cap to fill (or use the side inlet), tighten the cap, and reinstall the tank.
- Water Accumulation in Base: The humidifier uses an ultrasonic transducer that vibrates to create mist. Water accumulation in the base is normal and does not require concern.
- Mist Output Adjustment: Adjust mist output as needed. If water accumulates around the humidifier or indoor humidity is too high, reduce the mist output.
