Mechanical Specification
The power supply has overall dimensions of 199mm (Length) x 98mm (Width) x 38mm (Height). It features mounting holes for M3 screws.
Terminal Pin Assignments:

Block Diagram
The internal architecture of the MSP-200 series power supply includes the following stages:
- Input Stage: EMI Filter, Active Inrush Current Limiting, PFC (Power Factor Correction) & Rectifiers.
- Switching Stage: Power Switching (PWM controlled).
- Output Stage: Rectifiers & Filter.
- Protection Circuits: Overload Protection (OLP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP).
- Control Systems: PFC Control, PWM Control, and Remote Control.
- Auxiliary Functions: Auxiliary Power supply and Remote Sense connections.
The PWM switching frequency (fosc) is 70KHz.
Derating Curves
Ambient Temperature Derating: The power supply operates at 100% load capacity up to approximately 50°C ambient temperature. Beyond this point, the maximum allowable load decreases linearly as the ambient temperature increases, reaching zero load at 70°C. This indicates that cooling is primarily via free air convection.
Input Voltage Derating: The power supply maintains its rated load capacity across its specified input voltage range. For AC input, this is 85-264VAC. For DC input, it is 120-370VDC. The graph shows consistent load percentage across these input voltage ranges.
Function Description of CN100
The CN100 connector provides access to various control and monitoring functions:
- Pin 1 (RC+): Used for Remote Control ON/OFF function. When shorted with RC- (Pin 2), the output is OFF. When open, the output is ON.
- Pin 2 (RC-): Remote control ground reference.
- Pin 3 (AUX): Auxiliary voltage output (4.75~5.25V) with a maximum load current of 0.3A. This output is not affected by the remote ON/OFF control.
- Pin 4 (AUXG): Auxiliary voltage output ground. It is isolated from the main output terminals (+V & -V).
- Pin 5 (+S): Positive sensing terminal. Connect to the positive terminal of the load. Used to compensate for voltage drop in the load wiring (up to 0.5V).
- Pin 6 (-S): Negative sensing terminal. Connect to the negative terminal of the load. Used to compensate for voltage drop in the load wiring (up to 0.5V). The +S and -S leads should be twisted in pairs to minimize noise pickup.
Function Manual
1. Remote Control
The power supply unit (PSU) can be turned ON or OFF using the "Remote ON/OFF" function. This is achieved by connecting a switch or external circuit between RC+ (Pin 1) and RC- (Pin 2) of the CN100 connector.
- SW ON (Short between RC+ and RC-): Output Status is OFF.
- SW OFF (Open circuit between RC+ and RC-): Output Status is ON.
2. Remote Sense
The remote sensing feature compensates for voltage drops that occur in the load wiring, ensuring accurate voltage delivery to the load, up to a maximum compensation of 0.5V. This is achieved by connecting the +S (Pin 5) and -S (Pin 6) terminals directly to the positive and negative terminals of the load, respectively. It is recommended to use twisted-pair wiring for these sense lines to minimize noise interference.
