The Baby Trend® warranty covers workmanship defects within 1 year of purchase. Any product subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, alteration, or accident, or with a altered or removed serial number, invalidates all claims against the manufacturer. Any damage to property during installation is the sole responsibility of the end user.

Safety Warnings

WARNING: Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.

FALL HAZARD: Children have suffered severe head injuries, including skull fractures, when falling from high chairs. Falls can happen suddenly if the child is not restrained properly.

• ALWAYS use restraints and adjust to fit snugly.
• The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair.
• Stay NEAR and watch the child during use.
• NEVER allow the child to push away from the table.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Do not place the High Chair in any location where there are cords, such as window blind cords, drapes, or phone cords.

WARNING: The child should be secured in the high chair at all times by the 5-point restraining system, whether in the reclining, semi-reclining, or upright position. The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair. The high chair should only be used by children capable of sitting upright unassisted and at least 6 months of age. See page 12 for instructions on proper use of the restraint system.

• Other accessory items may change the balance of the high chair and cause hazardous unstable conditions; use approved Baby Trend toys.
• Be certain the high chair is fully erect and latched in the open position before allowing the child near the high chair.
• This high chair is designed for a child with a maximum weight of 40 pounds (18.14 kg).
• NEVER allow your high chair to be used as a toy.
• NEVER use this product if there are any loose or missing fasteners, loose joints, broken parts, or torn mesh/fabric. Check before assembly and periodically during use. Contact Baby Trend Customer Service at 1-800-328-7363 for replacement parts, repair, or instructions. NEVER substitute parts.

Parts Identification

Before assembly, check that you have all the parts for this model. The parts include:

• Seat Unit: The main seating component.
• Seat Pad: The cushion for the seat.
• Tray: The feeding tray.
• Tray Insert: An accessory for the tray, dishwasher safe.
• Front Legs: The front supports of the high chair.
• Rear Legs: The rear supports of the high chair.
• Upper Frame Assemblies: The main frame components connecting the seat and legs.

Assembly Instructions

IMPORTANT: Follow instructions carefully for safe operation. Adult assembly is required. Always check that the high chair is locked in the open position before using.

Step 1: Assemble Legs

• Take either the left or right leg, press and hold the button, and extend the leg, then release the button.
• Insert the front tube of the right side Upper Frame Assembly into the Height Bracket. The front tube has holes on the backside.
• Repeat for the left side Upper Frame Assembly.

Step 2: Secure Legs

• Squeeze the Release Handle and push the tube through the Height Bracket until it locks in the highest position.
• Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the left side.

Step 3: Connect Legs to Frame

• Insert the legs into the ends of the front tube of both the right and left Upper Frame Assemblies.
• Ensure push buttons align with holes and are engaged before use.

Step 4: Check Connections

• Carefully check all high chair connections to ensure proper installation. Ensure all parts of the frame are secure. Do not proceed until all parts are properly connected.

Step 5: Attach Tray

• Align the grooves on the bottom of the tray with the armrests. Squeeze the tray's release handle and slide the tray onto the armrests.
• The tray has a 3-position adjustment. Squeeze the release handle underneath the tray to reposition it. Release the handle to lock.
• Ensure the tray is securely locked.
• ATTENTION: Never leave the tray fitted where warning signs are visible.

Step 6: Attach Tray Insert

• The dishwasher-safe food tray insert clicks onto the high chair tray and is held by tabs. Ensure it clicks into place.
• To remove the insert, pull the tabs.
• The tray can be stored on the back legs of the high chair by aligning the holes in the rear of the tray with the small pegs on the back legs.

Step 7: Secure Child with Harness

• The 5-point harness shoulder straps have 2 attachment positions on the seat back. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below, the top of the child's shoulder.
• Place the child in the seat, bring the safety harness around the waist and over the shoulders.
• Place the crotch strap between the child's legs.
• Insert the male ends of the shoulder/waist belts into the buckle on the crotch strap.
• Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over the shoulders.

Step 8: Release Child

• To release, apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until it releases. This requires moderate effort to prevent accidental release by the child.

Step 9: Recline Seat

• Squeeze the recline lever on the back of the seat and adjust to the preferred recline or upright position.
• NOTE: When adjusting the seat back, be careful not to catch the child's arms, hands, or legs.

Step 10: Adjust Seat Height

• WARNING: Do not adjust seat height with child in seat. Adjust before placing child in the high chair.
• Squeeze both left and right levers of the Height Adjustment Bracket and adjust to the ideal position.
• WARNING: Never rest the height adjustment bracket on the locking pins.

Step 11: Fold High Chair

• Place seat in the desired height position. Place Seat Back in the most upright position.

Step 12: Remove Tray for Folding

• Squeeze the tray release handle and slide the tray out.

Step 13: Hang Tray

• Hang the tray on the hooks located on the back of the rear leg.

Step 14: Fold Chair

• Lower the seat to its lowest position.
• Push the release buttons (on the sides of the frame) and push the rear legs in the direction of the front legs until folded.
• DO NOT allow your child to play around a folded high chair as it may fall.

To Unfold High Chair: Reverse the folding steps.

Adjusting the Footrest: Press the buttons on both sides of the footrest to adjust it up or down.

Reattaching Seat Pad:

• Thread the non-buckle end of Harness Straps (Harness Attachment Tabs) through the provided slots in the Seat Fabric, Seat Back, and Seat Base.
• Rotate the Harness Attachment Tabs 90 degrees once through the slots. Ensure straps are firmly in place.
• Slide the pocket of the seat cover back over the curved back frame.
• Secure the seat sides by wrapping them around the frame and fastening plastic clips at each side of the seat.

Removing Seat Pad: Reverse the reattaching steps.

Maintenance and Care

WARNING: Harness Straps and Basket are NOT washable.

• Dishwasher Safe Tray Insert: The tray insert is dishwasher safe up to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not use scouring pads, as they can damage the surface.
• High Chair/Tray: Clean after each use with mild household dish soap. Use a soft bristle brush, sponge, or cloth to clean the surface or remove food particles. DO NOT submerge the high chair or tray in water. Surface clean only.
• Seat Pad: Refer to the care label on the seat pad for specific cleaning instructions.
• Hand Washable Seat Pad: Hand wash with cold water. DO NOT machine wash, bleach, tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.
• Basket: Certain models have a basket for storage. To remove, release the four snaps. To attach, feed snap strips through basket slots and press firmly.
