Launch the app, register an account with a valid email address during your first use, then log in.

Note:

  1. Allow the app to access your WLAN and mobile data for a successful connection.
  2. Allow the app to access push notifications for detection alerts.

Configuring the Camera in the App:

Before you start, please note:

  1. Fully charge the camera before using it for the first time.
  2. Press and hold the 'Power' button for 3-6 seconds until you hear three quick 'Ding, Ding, Ding' sounds, indicating the camera is powering on.
  3. Ensure the red indicator light flashes slowly, signifying it's ready for Wi-Fi configuration.

Method 1: Bluetooth Connection (Recommended)

Note: Allow the app to access your Bluetooth services and location to ensure a successful connection.

  1. On the Home page, select 'Scan code' in the upper right corner to add a device. Then, tap 'Start scanning' and align the camera with the QR code located on the camera body label.

If a 'connection error' message appears during Wi-Fi setup, tap 'Add again' in the upper left corner and follow these steps:

Installing the Camera

If the above steps do not work, tap 'Other Methods' and refer to the 'Important Tips' section for more guidance, or contact CZEview directly at support@czeview.net.

  1. Perform a network diagnosis.
    • Bring the camera to the area where you plan to install it and open the app.
    • Tap the 'Settings' icon in the bottom right of the preview window.
    • Go to 'Installation Guide' and tap it.
    • Tap 'Next' until you reach the 'Network Diagnosis' page. For best performance, ensure the Wi-Fi signal strength at the installation location is 'Strong'.
  2. For optimal results, install the camera on the wall at a height of approximately 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) from the ground. Ensure there are no obstructions within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of the camera's horizontal field of view. Avoid placing the camera behind trees or in corners, as this may affect night vision quality.
  3. Fix the wall mount to a drillable surface with screws.
    • For G6
    • For G6 PRO
  4. Before sliding the camera into the wall mount, note that the upper lens can only be manually adjusted and allows for a 90° rotation to the left and right.
  5. Slide the camera into the wall mount until it clicks into place.
  6. Install the solar panel.
    • For G6: Mount the bracket on the wall using the included screw package. Attach the solar panel to the bracket and tighten to ensure stability.
    • For G6 PRO: Align the solar panel with the mounting slot on the top of the wall mount. Adjust the solar panel's direction to face a zone with good sun exposure. Then tighten the screw to fix it.
  7. Adjust the panel's angle for optimal solar exposure. Orienting it south is recommended for better efficiency.
  8. Installation complete. Connect the cable to the camera.

Solar Panel Mounted Directly to the Wall

  1. Align the mounting plate on the wall and fix it with the provided screws. Ensure the panel is oriented towards the sun before fully tightening the screws.
  2. Installation complete. Connect the cable to the camera.

Tips for Optimal Motion Detection

A. Camera Installation Based on Field of View:

  1. Verify your camera's viewing angle to ensure the monitoring area is well within its field of view.
  2. The ideal viewing distance is 2 to 10 meters for optimal recognition. For best results, avoid placing the camera too far or too high; the recommended height is 2.5 meters.

B. Installation Based on PIR Motion Sensor Detection:

  1. The PIR motion sensor detects motion within a maximum range of 10 meters and a horizontal angle of 120°. Ensure movements are within this range to be detected.
  2. The PIR sensor is more sensitive to lateral movements than to movements directly towards the camera.

Tips to Reduce False Alarms

  1. Avoid installing the camera facing bright lights, such as sunlight or bright lamps.
  2. Do not point the camera directly towards the road; it is recommended to place the camera at least 10 meters away from entrances or roads.
  3. Keep the camera away from outlets like air conditioner vents, humidifiers, and projector vents.
  4. Avoid placing the camera facing mirrors or glass surfaces.
  5. Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices, including Wi-Fi routers, to avoid interference.

Tips to Improve Detection Accuracy:

  1. Adjust the sensitivity level to high.
  2. Position the camera to capture lateral movements rather than direct movements for better motion detection.
  3. Mount the camera at an optimal height of 2.5 meters. Avoid placing it too low or too high, as this can hinder alarm detection.
  4. Ensure the lens is within the PIR sensor's ideal detection range of 2 to 10 meters.

Night Vision

To adjust night vision settings, launch the app and navigate to 'Settings → Image Settings → Full Color Mode.' You can choose from three night vision modes in the app.

Note: Night vision quality can be affected by nearby obstructions. Ensure there are no obstructions within 1 meter of the camera's horizontal field of view. Avoid placing the camera behind trees or in corners.

Recording and Playback

CZEview battery cameras only record when motion is detected, not continuously. Recordings can be saved to a micro SD card (not included) or the cloud (requires subscription).
