Installing the Camera
If the above steps do not work, tap 'Other Methods' and refer to the 'Important Tips' section for more guidance, or contact CZEview directly at support@czeview.net.
- Perform a network diagnosis.
- Bring the camera to the area where you plan to install it and open the app.
- Tap the 'Settings' icon in the bottom right of the preview window.
- Go to 'Installation Guide' and tap it.
- Tap 'Next' until you reach the 'Network Diagnosis' page. For best performance, ensure the Wi-Fi signal strength at the installation location is 'Strong'.
- For optimal results, install the camera on the wall at a height of approximately 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) from the ground. Ensure there are no obstructions within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of the camera's horizontal field of view. Avoid placing the camera behind trees or in corners, as this may affect night vision quality.
- Fix the wall mount to a drillable surface with screws.
- For G6
- For G6 PRO
- Before sliding the camera into the wall mount, note that the upper lens can only be manually adjusted and allows for a 90° rotation to the left and right.
- Slide the camera into the wall mount until it clicks into place.
- Install the solar panel.
- For G6: Mount the bracket on the wall using the included screw package. Attach the solar panel to the bracket and tighten to ensure stability.
- For G6 PRO: Align the solar panel with the mounting slot on the top of the wall mount. Adjust the solar panel's direction to face a zone with good sun exposure. Then tighten the screw to fix it.
- Adjust the panel's angle for optimal solar exposure. Orienting it south is recommended for better efficiency.
- Installation complete. Connect the cable to the camera.
Solar Panel Mounted Directly to the Wall
- Align the mounting plate on the wall and fix it with the provided screws. Ensure the panel is oriented towards the sun before fully tightening the screws.
- Installation complete. Connect the cable to the camera.
Tips for Optimal Motion Detection
A. Camera Installation Based on Field of View:
- Verify your camera's viewing angle to ensure the monitoring area is well within its field of view.
- The ideal viewing distance is 2 to 10 meters for optimal recognition. For best results, avoid placing the camera too far or too high; the recommended height is 2.5 meters.
B. Installation Based on PIR Motion Sensor Detection:
- The PIR motion sensor detects motion within a maximum range of 10 meters and a horizontal angle of 120°. Ensure movements are within this range to be detected.
- The PIR sensor is more sensitive to lateral movements than to movements directly towards the camera.
Tips to Reduce False Alarms
- Avoid installing the camera facing bright lights, such as sunlight or bright lamps.
- Do not point the camera directly towards the road; it is recommended to place the camera at least 10 meters away from entrances or roads.
- Keep the camera away from outlets like air conditioner vents, humidifiers, and projector vents.
- Avoid placing the camera facing mirrors or glass surfaces.
- Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices, including Wi-Fi routers, to avoid interference.
Tips to Improve Detection Accuracy:
- Adjust the sensitivity level to high.
- Position the camera to capture lateral movements rather than direct movements for better motion detection.
- Mount the camera at an optimal height of 2.5 meters. Avoid placing it too low or too high, as this can hinder alarm detection.
- Ensure the lens is within the PIR sensor's ideal detection range of 2 to 10 meters.
Night Vision
To adjust night vision settings, launch the app and navigate to 'Settings → Image Settings → Full Color Mode.' You can choose from three night vision modes in the app.
Note: Night vision quality can be affected by nearby obstructions. Ensure there are no obstructions within 1 meter of the camera's horizontal field of view. Avoid placing the camera behind trees or in corners.
