Install the Camera
- Perform a network diagnosis. Place the camera in the area where you plan to install it and open the app. Tap the 'Settings' icon in the bottom right of the preview window. Go to 'Installation Guide' and tap. Tap 'Next' until you reach the 'Network Diagnosis' page. For optimal performance, ensure the WiFi signal strength at the installation point is 'Strong'.
- For optimal results, install the camera on a wall at a height of approximately 2.5 meters (8.2 feet). Ensure there are no obstacles within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of the camera's horizontal field of view. Avoid positioning the camera behind trees or around corners, as this may affect night vision quality.
- Fix the base to a drillable surface with screws.
- Before inserting the camera into the wall mount, note that the upper lens can only be adjusted manually and allows for 90° rotation to the left and right.
- Slide the camera into the wall mount until it clicks into place.
Install the Solar Panel
For G6
- Fix the bracket to the wall using the provided screw kit.
- Attach the solar panel to the bracket and tighten to secure.
- Adjust the angle of the panel for optimal sunlight exposure. It is recommended to orient it towards the south to maximize efficiency.
- Installation complete. Connect the cable to the camera.
For G6 PRO
- Camera and solar panel together on the wall mount: Align the solar panel with the mounting slot on the top of the wall mount. Adjust the direction of the solar panel to ensure its exposure to sunlight. Then, tighten the screw to fix it. Installation complete. Connect the cable to the camera.
- Solar panel mounted directly to the wall: Align the mounting plate to the wall and secure it with the provided screws. Ensure the panel faces the sun before fully tightening the screws.
Suggestions for optimal motion detection:
- A. Camera Installation based on Field of View: Check your camera's viewing angle to ensure the monitoring area is well within its field of view. The ideal viewing distance is 2-10 meters for optimal recognition. For best results, avoid placing the camera too far or too high; the recommended height is 2.5 meters.
- B. Installation based on PIR Motion Sensor Detection: The PIR motion sensor detects motion within a maximum distance of 10 meters and a horizontal angle of 120°. Ensure that movements are within this range to be detected. The PIR sensor is more sensitive to lateral movements than to movements directly towards the camera.
Suggestions for reducing false alarms:
- Avoid installing the camera facing bright lights, including the sun and bright lamps.
- Do not point the camera lens directly at the road; it is recommended to place the camera at least 10 meters away from driveways or roads.
- Keep the camera away from vents such as air conditioning vents, humidifiers, and projector vents.
- Avoid placing the camera facing mirrors or glass surfaces.
- Keep the camera at least 1 meter away from any wireless devices, including Wi-Fi routers, to avoid interference.
Suggestions for improving detection accuracy:
- Set the sensitivity level to high.
- Position the camera to detect lateral movements rather than direct movements for better motion detection.
Night Vision
To adjust night vision settings, launch the app and go to 'Settings → Image Settings → Full Color Mode.' In the app, you can choose between three night vision modes.
Note: Night vision quality can be affected by nearby obstacles. Ensure there are no obstacles within 1 meter of the camera's horizontal field of view. Avoid placing the camera behind trees or corners.
Recording and Playback
CZEview battery-powered cameras only record when motion is detected, not continuously. Recordings can be saved to a micro SD card (not included) or the cloud (subscription required).
Before Recording:
For SD Card Users:
- Use a micro SD card with a capacity between 8GB and 256GB. (A 32GB SD card can store up to 6 months of video for reference.)
- After inserting the SD card, go to 'Settings' → 'Recording Management' to check if 'SD Card Capacity' appears in the app. If so, tap 'Format' to prepare the card.
- If 'SD Card Capacity' is not displayed, reinsert the SD card and check again in 'Recording Management'. If the problem persists, try another SD card.
For Cloud Storage Users:
- The camera includes a free basic cloud storage for life, where motion-activated videos are saved for 7 days before being overwritten.
- The free cloud storage plan records 6-second clips. For longer recordings, consider subscribing to another cloud storage plan or using an SD card.
Recording Configuration:
For Cloud Storage Users:
- Tap the 'Settings' icon in the bottom right of the preview window. Go to 'Cloud Storage Service' and tap it.
- Subscribe to a plan to enable recording; without a subscription, the camera will not record.
- Go back to 'Settings', find 'Motion Detection', and tap it. Ensure the 'Motion Detection' function is enabled (it is enabled by default).
For SD Card Users:
- Tap the 'Settings' icon in the bottom right of the preview window. Go to 'Recording Management' and tap it.
- Ensure the 'Video' switch is enabled (it is enabled by default).
- Go back to 'Settings', find 'Motion Detection', and tap it. Ensure the 'Motion Detection' function is enabled (it is enabled by default).
Playback:
I. For Cloud Storage Users:
- On the Home page, tap the playback icon [▶]. Tap 'Cloud' to view videos saved in the cloud. For a paid cloud storage plan, the default recording time is 10 seconds. To extend it, go to 'Settings' → 'Motion Detection'. The basic cloud storage plan only supports 6-second recordings.
II. For SD Card Users:
- On the Home page, tap the playback icon [▶]. Tap 'History' to view videos saved on the SD card. The default recording time is 10 seconds. To extend it, go to 'Settings' → 'Motion Detection'.
III. For users who watch SD card playback on a computer:
- It is recommended to download the PotPlayer software [PotPlayer icon]. With this software, you can easily switch between viewing angles with a single click during video playback.
- First, download and open PotPlayer on your computer. Select the video you wish to watch and open it with PotPlayer. Once the video is open, click the button [switch angle button] in the bottom right corner of the software to switch between different viewing angles.
