Important Information
Battery
If you notice signs of insufficient power, such as a dim display or no backlight, the battery must be replaced by a CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery included with your watch may be a test battery, so its service life may be shorter than standard batteries.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by water resistance level (from I to V). Refer to the table below to determine usage rules.
Marking on Case | Rain, Splash, Washing | Swimming, Washing | Skin Diving, Scuba Diving | |
I | No | No | No | No |
II WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V 300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for relevant sections:
- Watches are not waterproof. Avoid any moisture.
- Some water-resistant watches have leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any activity where the strap may be submerged in water.
- If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- Watches can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
CAUTION!!! For all categories of watches, it is forbidden to:
- Press buttons underwater.
- Set the hands underwater.
- Unscrew the crown underwater.
Care for Your Watch
- The rubber gasket protecting the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by a CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extremely high or low temperatures.
- While the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. There should be space for a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- Clean the watch and strap using a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with an aqueous solution of mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile agents (such as gasoline, solvents, aerosol cleaners, etc.).
- When not in use, store the watch in a dry place.
- Avoid exposure to gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
- Some watch straps have silk-screened designs. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For Resin Straps
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a soft cloth.
- Exposure of the resin strap to sweat or moisture, or storing it in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for the resin strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth as often as possible.
For Fluorescent Cases and Straps
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
- Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with a wet surface may cause the fluorescent color to fade. Ensure that there is no moisture on the surface.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch, and accepts no claims from third parties.
Calibration Signal
- This watch receives a calibration signal and updates the time accordingly.
- Signal broadcast centers are located in Germany (25 km from Frankfurt) and in Antorn, England. The signal covers a radius of 1500 km. The signal may be weak at distances over 500 km.
- The broadcast signal is also dependent on weather conditions, atmospheric pressure, and temperature. Signal reception may also be affected by the following factors:
- Being near a TV, computer, or household appliances.
- Being in a subway or tunnel.
- Being near airports, train stations, or high-speed roads.
- Being near radio stations or signal transmission stations.
- Electrostatic charge.
There are two types of calibration signal reception. When auto-calibration is enabled, the watch automatically receives the signal six times each day and corrects the time. For manual calibration, you press a button to receive the signal:
Manual Calibration
- Position your watch horizontally.
- In the Current Time Mode, press and hold button [D] for two seconds until the [RC] indicator sounds.
- Release button [D]. The [RC] indicator will flash, indicating that the watch is ready to receive the calibration signal. The second hand will move to the 12 o'clock position and stop.
- The signal reception process takes 2 to 7 minutes. Sometimes it may take up to 14 minutes. Do not move your watch during the reception process.
- After the reception process, if it was successful, the last reception data will appear on the display.
- To stop the reception process and return to the Current Time Mode, press button [D].
- If the signal reception was unsuccessful, the watch will display "ERR" and then automatically return to the Current Time Mode. You can also return to the Current Time Mode by pressing button [D].
