Battery

If the display becomes dim or the backlight fails, the battery needs replacement. Contact your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor. The battery included with your watch is for test purposes and may have a shorter service life than standard batteries.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I through V). Refer to the table below to determine usage guidelines.

Water Resistance Ratings
Marking on Case Splashes, Rain, Washing, etc. Car Washing, etc. Swimming, Diving Diving with Aqualung
I No No No No
II (50M WATER RESISTANT) Yes No No No
III (50M WATER RESISTANT) Yes Yes No No
IV (100M WATER RESISTANT) Yes Yes Yes No
V (200M WATER RESISTANT / 300M WATER RESISTANT) Yes Yes Yes Yes

Notes for relevant sections:

  1. Level I watches are not water resistant. Avoid any contact with moisture.
  2. If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
  3. If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
  4. Level V watches can be used for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).

ATTENTION!!! For all categories of watches, do not:

  • Press buttons underwater.
  • Adjust hands underwater.
  • Unscrew the crown underwater.

Care for Your Watch

  • The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
  • If water gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
  • Do not expose the watch to excessively high or low temperatures.
  • While the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
  • Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
  • To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, aerosol cleaners, etc.).
  • When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
  • Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
  • Some models feature silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning these straps to avoid damaging the designs.

For Watches with Resin Straps...

You may notice a whitish powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a soft cloth.

Sweat or moisture on a resin strap, or storing it in high humidity, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking of the strap. To ensure a long service life for the resin strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth as often as possible.

For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps...

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
  • Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
  • Prolonged contact with a wet surface may lead to discoloration of the fluorescent color. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
  • Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint vigorously against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch and does not accept claims from third parties.
