Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare Side Panels
Lay the two main side panels flat on a protected surface. Insert four dowels (part number 101449) into the pre-drilled holes on the edge of one panel, as indicated by the close-up view. A hammer icon ? suggests gently tapping them in if needed. The diagram shows this action repeated for the second panel.
Step 2: Attach Side Panels
Align the second side panel with the dowels inserted in the first panel. Ensure the panels are flush. Secure the panels together using four long screws (part number 10043592) through the designated holes. The diagram shows a minimum insertion depth of >5 mm for the screw. Do not overtighten. An incorrect method (❌) is shown where the screw is not fully engaged.
Step 3: Assemble Frame and Shelves
This step involves assembling the main frame and potentially attaching internal shelves or drawer runners. Lay out the assembled side panels. Insert multiple screws (part number 10111468) and possibly cam locks (part number 10111561) into the designated holes on the side panels and connecting pieces. The diagram shows a specific sequence of inserting screws and then securing them, possibly with cam locks. A close-up shows the connection detail with a rotating action to secure the cam lock.
Step 4: Continue Frame Assembly
Continue assembling the main structure. This step involves attaching more internal components or supports using screws (part number 10111468) and cam locks (part number 10111561). The diagrams show the placement of these components and the screwing action. Multiple screws (16x or 18x depending on the diagram) are used.
Step 5: Prepare for Wall Mounting
Attach the wall mounting brackets (part number 158701) to the back of the furniture unit. Use four short screws (part number 151931) for each bracket, as shown in the close-up. The diagram also illustrates the wall mounting plates (part number 114664) which are to be affixed to the wall. The diagram shows different wall thickness options (6 mm (1/4"), 12 mm (1/2"), 18 mm (6/8")) for selecting appropriate wall fixings, which are not included. The assembly tool (part number 10046118) is used to tighten components.
Step 6: Insert Shelves
Carefully insert the shelves into the assembled unit. The diagram shows shelves being placed onto pre-determined positions within the unit. Some shelves may require specific placement or orientation. The diagram indicates quantities like 3x, 2x, 1x for different shelf types or positions.
Step 7: Secure Unit to Wall (Part 1)
Position the assembled unit against the wall where it will be permanently installed. Use the assembly tool (part number 10046118) to connect the unit's wall bracket components to the wall mounting plates. This step involves aligning the unit and the wall-mounted components. The diagram shows the tool being used to rotate a component to secure the connection.
Step 8: Secure Unit to Wall (Part 2)
This step details the final wall attachment. The diagram shows the unit being secured to the wall using the previously attached brackets and wall plates. Screws (part number 126916) are used to connect the unit's bracket to the wall plate. The diagram shows a close-up of this connection and indicates the use of 3x screws. It also shows an incorrect method (❌) where the bracket is not properly aligned or secured.
Step 9: Attach Drawer Module (Optional)
If your configuration includes drawers, this step shows how to attach the drawer module. It involves attaching drawer bracket components (part number 10097004) to the unit using screws.
Step 10: Final Placement/Top Shelf
Place the final shelf or top panel onto the unit. The diagram shows a shelf being placed and secured, possibly using screws (part number 10111468) and cam locks (part number 10111561) or similar fixings. A ladder ? is shown, indicating the need for height to reach the top of the unit.
