Assembly Steps
Step 1: Prepare Panels
Take the side panels. Insert cam locks (101449) into the pre-drilled holes. Insert cam bolts (10043592) into their corresponding holes on the panels.
Step 2: Connect Frame Components
Align the cam bolts with the cam locks on the connecting panels. Tighten the cam locks to secure the frame components together, forming the basic structure of the unit.
Step 3: Assemble Main Structure
Connect the base and side panels to form the main cabinet structure. Insert the shelves into the designated slots or pre-drilled holes on the side panels.
Step 4: Secure Shelves
Use screws (e.g., 10111468) and cam locks (e.g., 10111561) to firmly attach each shelf to the side panels. Ensure shelves are level and securely fastened.
Step 5: Attach Wall Bracket to Unit
Attach the primary wall anchoring bracket (e.g., Part 151931) to the top rear of the furniture unit. Use the appropriate screws (e.g., 126916) for this attachment. Ensure the bracket is oriented correctly for wall connection.
Step 6: Position Unit and Initial Wall Attachment
With assistance from another person, carefully position the assembled furniture unit against the wall where it will be placed. Use brackets (e.g., 158701) to make an initial attachment to the wall, ensuring the unit is stable.
Step 7: Tighten Fittings
Use the provided wrench (10046118) to tighten any adjustable fittings on the unit. This ensures all connections are secure and the unit is stable.
Step 8: Final Wall Anchoring
Securely anchor the unit to the wall. Attach the wall strap or bracket to the wall using appropriate wall fasteners (not included, select based on wall material). Connect this wall-mounted component to the furniture unit's bracket. Ensure the connection is robust and the unit is prevented from tipping.
Note: Different screw lengths (e.g., 6 mm, 12 mm, 18 mm) may be required for wall attachment depending on the wall type.
Step 9: Apply Protective Caps
Attach any included protective caps (e.g., 10097004) to cover exposed screw heads or fittings for a cleaner finish.
Step 10: Final Check
Perform a final check of the entire unit. Ensure all screws are tightened, all connections are secure, and the unit is stable and properly anchored to the wall to prevent any risk of tipping.
