Initial Setup

1. Automatic Earbud Connection

Press and hold both touch sensors for over 3 seconds to power on. One earbud's indicator light will turn solid white, and the other will flash blue/white, indicating they are ready to pair with your device.

2. Bluetooth Connection

On your device's settings, select "JLab JBuds Air". You will hear two beeps, and the white indicator lights will turn solid, confirming connection.

Adding New or Additional Bluetooth Devices:

Turn off Bluetooth on previously connected devices. Turn on Bluetooth on the new device. Remove the earbuds from the charging case. They will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Select "JLab JBuds Air" in your device's settings to pair.

Left Earbud

• Volume Down: Single tap
• Siri (iOS) or OK Google (Android): Double tap
• Answer Call: Single tap
• Hang Up Call: Double tap
• Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold for over 1 second
• Previous Track: Press and hold for over 1 second
• Power On: Press and hold for over 3 seconds
• Change EQ Setting: Triple tap

Right Earbud

• Volume Up: Single tap
• Answer Call: Single tap
• Hang Up Call: Double tap
• Reject Incoming Call: Press and hold for over 1 second
• Play/Pause: Double tap
• Next Track: Press and hold for over 1 second
• Power On: Press and hold for over 3 seconds
• Change EQ Setting: Triple tap

Voice Instructions

• Power On: Audio prompt
• Bluetooth Connected: Two beeps
• Low Battery: "Low battery" audio prompt (less than 20%)
• Power Off: Audio prompt

Turning Off Earbuds (Out of Charging Case):

Access your device's Bluetooth settings and disconnect the JBuds Air. The earbuds will power off automatically after 3 minutes.

Custom EQ Sound Modes

Triple tap the right or left earbud to cycle through different equalization settings. The JBuds Air will cycle through three EQ presets:

• JLab Signature (One Beep): JLab C3™ signature sound with amplified vocals and bass.
• Balanced (Two Beeps): Harmonious sound without additional amplification.
• Bass Boost (Three Beeps): Amplified bass and lower-mid frequencies.

Charging the Earbuds

Charging Earbuds

1. Place the earbuds into the charging case, aligning them with the L (left) and R (right) indicators for correct charging. The earbuds will automatically turn off and begin charging. Blue indicator lights show the earbuds are charging and will turn off when fully charged.

Charging Case

Connect the JBuds Air case to a computer or device with a USB output of 5V 1A (or lower). The LED indicators will blink white during charging and turn solid white when fully charged.

Automatic Reconnection:

When removed from the case, the earbuds will automatically power on and reconnect to your device.

Fit and Comfort

Try the optional Cush Fins™ and all ear tips to find the most secure and comfortable fit. The Cush Fin should be aligned by positioning its contour around the microphone hole.

Troubleshooting

No Sound in One Earbud (Manual Reset)

1. Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and "forget" the JLab JBuds Air.
2. Open the charging case lid and leave both earbuds inside. For one earbud, quickly tap the button 7 times. The indicator light will flash blue 4 times. Leave the earbuds in the charging case.
3. Repeat the process for the other earbud. Quickly tap the button 7 times. The indicator light will flash blue 4 times.
4. Remove both earbuds from the charging case. Wait for one indicator light to turn solid white and the other to flash blue/white. You can now connect to your Bluetooth device.

Bluetooth Device Not Connecting / Reconnecting

1. Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and "forget" the JLab JBuds Air.
2. On your device, turn Bluetooth off, then turn it back on.
3. Open the charging case and wait for one earbud's indicator light to turn solid white and the other to flash blue/white.
4. To re-pair, select "JLab JBuds Air" in your device's settings.

Echo During Calls

If you experience microphone echo or poor call quality with the JBuds Air, check that the Cush Fin is not blocking the microphone port. Ensure the microphone port is clear.

Practical Advice and Warnings

Practical Tips

• Completely dry the earbuds before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage to the case. The earbuds are sweat and water-resistant, but the case is not.
• Both earbuds can connect to your device and be used independently. Simply remove an earbud from the charging case, and it will connect automatically.
• Choosing the correct ear tip significantly improves audio quality through optimal speaker isolation. Try all ear tips to find the best fit.

Warnings

• Avoid exposing the product to extreme heat, cold, or humidity.
• Avoid dropping the earbuds or stepping on them.
• Earwax can accumulate in the ear tips, degrading audio quality. Carefully clean earwax with a cotton swab or small object to maintain audio quality.
• If you experience discomfort or pain, try lowering the volume or temporarily stop using the device.
• If you experience recurring discomfort while using this product, discontinue use and consult a physician.
• We recommend caring for your earbuds as you would a pair of sunglasses and storing them in a secure place when not in use.
