Product Overview
The Ibex-1510 series is a concurrent dual-band 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 access point and client product designed for onboard and stationary applications. It offers reliable and efficient high-speed data transfers, airtime fairness, band steering, client steering, and multi-AP steering, making it suitable for passenger hotspot applications, remote maintenance access, data offloading, or integration into a TCMS network.
Engineered to withstand harsh onboard train environments, the Ibex-1510 is resistant to constant vibration, extreme temperatures, and demanding electromagnetic conditions. It features a GORE-TEX® membrane to prevent internal condensation and high-level isolation between interfaces for direct connectivity to auxiliary power, protecting against overvoltage and surge. With IP66 protection, it prevents water and dust ingress, even with the quick connect QMA connectors.
The optimized design results in a compact form factor with a high Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), facilitating easy integration into space-restricted installations and ensuring a low lifecycle cost. Thorough type testing by independent laboratories certifies its compliance with a wide range of standards, including EN 50155. The Ibex-1510 operates on Westermo's robust and user-friendly Linux-based IbexOS operating system, incorporating the latest cybersecurity features and updates.
