7. Q&A
- How do I turn on the camera? Once the camera is powered on, it turns on automatically and self-checks the gimbal. There is no power indicator on the camera. You can cover the light detector to simulate night mode and check if the infrared LED is on. If it is, the camera is well-powered.
- How can I recover the camera's password? If you forget the password, you need to restore the camera's factory settings and reset the camera.
- How do I reset the camera to factory settings? If the camera is connected online, you can find the reset option in the phone app or PC software to reset the camera. If the camera is offline, you can press and hold the reset button on the camera's connection line for 15-20 seconds to reset the camera.
- How do I delete videos from the TF card? When the TF card is full, the camera automatically deletes the original recordings on the TF card. If you want to delete videos manually, you can go to the Ctronics pro APP's TF card settings and format the TF card.
- The time displayed on the recorded video is incorrect. What is the difference from the actual recorded time? By default, the camera's time zone is GMT+8. Please enter the camera's time settings and select the correct time zone for your camera. If you have daylight saving time, enable daylight saving time. After selecting the new time zone, remember to verify the changes. The camera will restart to get the correct time.
- The alarm recording lasts only 15 seconds. How can I change the alarm video length? The alarm video duration is fixed at 15 seconds and cannot be modified. At the end of 15 seconds, if the camera continues to detect motion, it will start a new recording. In summary, if the action lasts more than 15 seconds, there will be multiple recordings.
- The alarm notification is enabled, but when there is motion detection, my smartphone still cannot receive the notification. This can happen on Android phones because the Android system closes background applications to save battery life. When the application is closed, it cannot send notifications. You can modify the battery management/optimization in the Android phone's settings to allow the Ctronics application to run in the background.
- I access the TF card and get the recorded video, but I cannot play the recorded video on the computer. The recorded video is in H264 format, which is our proprietary format. You can download the "HiPlayer" software from our website www.ctronics.com to play the video. You can also download the "FileConverter" software to convert the video from H264 to AVI, or directly use the HIP2P client to view the video.
