SALTO inRoomNode Installation Guide

This guide provides instructions for installing the SALTO inRoomNode.

Installation Steps

  1. Installation: Connect the inRoomNode to the controller.
  2. Mounting: Press and fix the inRoomNode into place.
  3. Wiring: Connect the wires according to the diagram (Power, GND, Rx, Tx).
  4. Initialization: Follow the user manual to initialize the device.

Operational Test and BLUEnet Information

Operational Test: Once the lock and the inRoomNode are installed, check that the lock is active in SALTO's software.

BLUEnet Information: The environment has a direct impact on the BLUEnet range radiation (metal, concrete walls...). The receiver device must be located facing the product antenna. Recommended connectivity distance: 10m - 15m.

Signalling

The inRoomNode uses LEDs to indicate its status:

POWER LED Blinking GREEN Powered from the controller but not good UART link
POWER LED Permanent GREEN Powered and UART link OK
BLUEnet LED Led Off Not initialized with Lock-ID
BLUEnet LED Blinking GREEN Pairing process (Searching lock to pair with)
BLUEnet LED Permanent GREEN Wireless connection to the lock is OK

Environmental Considerations

Metal Surroundings: If the device is surrounded by metal surfaces or a metallic environment, radio performance could be seriously affected.
