Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the SALTO DBolt Touch smart lock. It covers the necessary parts, tools, and the complete installation process, including battery replacement and emergency opening.

Parts and Tools Required

Dimensions:

  • Height: 6-5/16" (160 mm)
  • Widths range from 1-1/4" (31.5 mm) to 2-13/16" (72 mm)
  • Depth: 2-1/16" (52.5 mm)

Tools & Hardware:

  • Batteries: AA - LR6 (SP01077-10)
  • Screws: TORX 10 (x3), TORX 10 (x1), TORX 20 (x4), PH 2 (x2), PH 2 (x4)
  • Required Tools: TORX 10, TORX 20, PH 2 screwdrivers.

Door Detector Variants:

  • WOOD DOORS: RFDTCTW30W01
  • STEEL DOORS: RFDTCTS30W01

Installation Steps

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Door and Frame

    Mount the lock mechanism onto the door. Ensure correct orientation for the frame (RH or LH).

  2. Step 2: Attach Inside Fixing Plate

    Secure the inside fixing plate to the door using the provided screws.

  3. Step 3: Assemble Lock Mechanism

    Connect the various parts of the lock mechanism as shown in diagrams 3a, 3b, and 3c.

  4. Step 4: Select Correct Screws for Door Thickness

    Refer to the table for appropriate screw lengths based on door thickness (ranging from 1-3/8" to 3-11/32").

  5. Step 5: Insert Batteries and Connect Cables

    Insert the AA batteries into the designated compartment. Connect any necessary cables, including the door detector cable if applicable.

  6. Step 6: Attach Inside Assembly

    Align and attach the inside assembly to the door, ensuring all connections are properly seated.

  7. Step 7: Secure Inside Assembly

    Fasten the inside assembly using the provided mounting screws.

  8. Step 8: Final Lock Assembly

    Complete the assembly of the lock mechanism.

  9. Step 9: Handle Door Detector Cable (If Applicable)

    For models with a door detector, disconnect the cable first (9a, 9b) and then reconnect it (9c) during assembly.

  10. Step 10: Connect Battery

    Ensure the battery is connected.

  11. Step 11: Attach Outside Assembly

    Connect and attach the outside assembly to the lock mechanism.

  12. Step 12: Attach Inside Assembly

    Align and attach the inside assembly (12a, 12b).

  13. Step 13: Secure Inside Assembly

    Fasten the inside assembly.

  14. Step 14: Test Lock Functionality

    Perform a test of the lock's operation (14a, 14b).

  15. Step 15: IMPORTANT - Programming

    ⚠️ DO NOT CLOSE THE DOOR. PROGRAM THE LOCK FIRST!

Battery Replacement and Emergency Opening

Battery Replacement

To replace batteries (a, b): Open the cover, remove old batteries, and insert new AA - LR6 batteries. The process should take a maximum of 40 seconds (MAX.40") to retain settings.

Emergency Opening

In case of low battery or lockout, emergency opening can be performed (i). Connect a power bank to the Type C connector port on the lock to provide temporary power, allowing access.
