MAUL Product Warranty Information
General Warranty Terms
MAUL GmbH provides a 5-year warranty for its products against manufacturing and material defects. This warranty is valid for products sold in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, commencing from the date of sale to the first user.
MAUL will, at its discretion, repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned components at its own expense. Batteries supplied with the product are excluded from this warranty.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damages resulting from:
- Improper handling, use, or maintenance.
- Mechanical damage or natural wear and tear.
- Damage caused by batteries.
- Tampering or repairs performed by unauthorized third parties.
MAUL is not liable for consequential damages.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
- Recognizable defects must be reported within fourteen (14) days of receiving the product.
- Hidden defects must be reported immediately upon discovery.
- Provide proof of purchase (e.g., sales receipt or invoice).
- Send the product, along with the proof of purchase, to your point of sale or directly to MAUL GmbH.
- Include your name, address, and a detailed description of the defect.
Products with justified claims will be repaired or replaced. If MAUL fails to rectify a defect within a reasonable period, the buyer may be entitled to withdraw from the contract.
Out-of-Warranty Service
For defects occurring outside the warranty period, repair or replacement services may be available at the customer's expense. Please contact your point of sale for assistance.
Additional Surface Warranties for Selected Boards
Certain selected boards come with additional surface warranty coverage:
- 5-Year Surface Warranty: For the plastic surface of selected boards, provided proper use and cleaning.
- 30-Year Surface Warranty: For the enamel surface of selected boards, provided proper use and cleaning.
Legal Information
These warranty terms are subject to German law and exclude the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). These provisions do not exclude the application of mandatory consumer protection laws or EU regulations.
