Home Connect Setup

Water Hardness Settings
Here you will find an overview of the adjustable water hardness levels. A table with country-specific units can be found in the operating instructions.

Water Softener Settings
- Press the `[button]` (refer to appliance display).
- Press and hold the `[setup button]` for approx. 3 seconds to open the basic settings.
- The display shows Hxx. The display shows "set".
- Press the `[start button]` repeatedly until the desired water hardness is set.
- To save the settings, press and hold the `[setup button]` for approx. 3 seconds.
Filling Salt
To avoid damage to the appliance, only fill the salt reservoir immediately before starting the program.
- Open and remove the lid of the salt reservoir.
- For first-time use: fill the reservoir completely with water.
- Add the salt into the salt reservoir using a [funnel]. The water in the reservoir is displaced and flows out. Never fill with detergent.
- Attach and close the lid of the reservoir.
Filling Rinse Aid
- Press the tab on the lid of the rinse aid reservoir and lift it up `[lift lid]`.
- Fill the rinse aid up to the "max" marking.
- Close the lid of the rinse aid reservoir. The lid clicks audibly shut `[audible click]`.
Filling Detergent
- Place the detergent in the dry detergent compartment.
- Close the lid of the detergent compartment. The lid clicks audibly shut `[audible click]`.
Programs
The program data are laboratory measurements according to European standard EN 60436. The consumption values (except Eco) are approximate and depend on the selected program and any additional functions. Deactivated rinse aid system or lack of rinse aid also affects the running time.

1) Program suitable for night use: extended cycle duration, but very quiet.
How to Use
- Load the dishes. Only wash dishwasher-safe dishes in the appliance. Remove coarse food residue from the dishes. Ensure the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Fill with detergent.
- Switch on the appliance `[power button]`.
- Set the program.
- Start the program `[start button]`.
- Unload the dishes after the program has finished.
- To interrupt the program, press and hold the reset button `[reset button]` for approx. 4 seconds. The program will be interrupted and will finish after approx. 1 minute.
Maintenance: Cleaning Filters
- After each wash, check the filters for food residue.
- Turn the coarse filter counter-clockwise `[turn counter-clockwise]` and remove the filter system `[remove]`.
- Pull the microfilter downwards `[pull downwards]`.
- Press the locking clips together `[press clips]` and remove the coarse filter upwards `[remove upwards]`.
- Clean the filter elements under running water.
- Reassemble the filter system.
- Fit the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise `[turn clockwise]`. Check that the arrow markings align `[align arrows]`.
Maintenance: Cleaning Spray Arms
Clean the top spray arm as per the operating instructions.
- Unscrew the upper spray arm `[unscrew]` and pull it downwards `[pull downwards]`.
- Pull the lower spray arm upwards `[pull upwards]`.
- Check the spray arm outlets for blockages under running water and remove any foreign objects.
- Fit the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks audibly shut `[audible click]`.
- Fit the upper spray arm and screw it on `[screw on]`.
Maintenance: Cleaning Drain Pump
- Unplug the appliance from the mains socket `[unplug]`.
- Remove the filter system.
- Scoop out any water.
- Use a spoon to lever open the pump cover `[lever open]` and grip it by the bracket `[grip bracket]`.
- Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle `[lift inwards]` and remove it `[remove]`.
- Remove food residue and foreign objects from the pump impeller.
- Fit the pump cover and press it down `[press down]`. The pump cover clicks audibly shut `[audible click]`.
- Refit the filter system.
Troubleshooting
The following table lists common faults and their solutions.
Fault | Cause and Solution |

E:32-00 flashes alternately or water supply indicator lights up. | Water inlet hose is kinked. Solution: Reroute the water inlet hose without kinks. Tap is closed. Solution: Open the tap. Tap is blocked or calcified. Solution: Open the tap. The water flow rate from the open tap must be at least 10 l/min. Filters in the water connection of the supply or AquaStop hose are blocked. Solution: 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Unplug from the mains socket. 3. Close the tap. 4. Unscrew the water connection. 5. Remove the filter from the supply hose. 6. Clean the filter. 7. Insert the filter into the supply hose. 8. Screw the water connection back on. 9. Check the water connection for leaks. 10. Plug the appliance back into the mains socket. 11. Switch on the appliance. |
E:61-02 flashes alternately. | Drain pump is blocked. Solution: Clean the drain pump. Drain pump cover is loose. Solution: Secure the drain pump cover properly. |
E:92-40 flashes alternately. | Filters are dirty or blocked. Solution: Clean the filters. Filters are incorrectly fitted and/or not secured. Solution: 1. Fit the filters correctly. 2. Secure the filters. Washing program selected is too weak. Solution: Select a more intensive wash program. |
Food residue on dishes. | Dishes are loaded too close together or the basket is too full. Solution: 1. Load the dishes with sufficient space between them. The spray jets must be able to reach the surface of the dishes. 2. Avoid contact points. Spray arms cannot rotate unhindered. Solution: Load the dishes so that they do not obstruct the rotation of the spray arms. Spray arm nozzles are blocked. Solution: Clean the spray arms. Filters are dirty. Solution: Clean the filters. |
Removable streaks on glasses, glassware with a metallic appearance, and cutlery. | Amount of rinse aid is set too high. Solution: Set the rinse aid system to a lower level. No rinse aid has been added. Solution: Add rinse aid. |
Rust marks on cutlery. | Cutlery is not sufficiently rust-resistant. Knife blades are often more affected. Solution: Use rust-resistant cutlery. Cutlery also rusts when washed together with rusty items. Solution: Do not wash rusty items. |
