Before First Use

Please read the user instructions and accompanying safety notes before operating the appliance for the first time.

Setting Up Home Connect

Tip: Connect your appliance to a mobile device. Using the Home Connect app, you can conveniently perform all settings.

  1. Scan the following QR code. With the QR code, you can install the Home Connect app and connect your appliance.
  2. Follow the instructions in the Home Connect app.

Water Hardness Settings

Here you will find an overview of the adjustable water hardness values. A table with country-specific units can be found in the user instructions.

Installation Settings for Water Softener

  1. Press ⚙️ (Setup).
  2. To open the basic settings, press Setup for 3 seconds. The display shows Hxx.
  3. Press Start repeatedly until the appropriate water hardness level is set.
  4. To save the settings, press Setup for approximately 3 seconds.

Programs

Program data are measured values determined in the laboratory according to European standard EN 60436. Consumption values are indicative values (except Eco) and depend on the selected program and selected additional function. If the rinse aid system is deactivated or if there is no rinse aid, the running time changes.

Filling Special Salt

To avoid damaging the appliance, fill in special salt only immediately before starting the program in the special salt reservoir.

  1. Unscrew the cap of the special salt reservoir and remove it.
  2. For first-time use: Fill the reservoir completely with water.
  3. Fill the special salt into the reservoir. The water in the reservoir is displaced and overflows. Never add detergent.
  4. Put the cap back on the reservoir and screw it on.

Filling Rinse Aid

1. Press the tab on the rinse aid reservoir lid and lift it.

2. Add rinse aid up to the max mark.

3. Close the rinse aid reservoir lid. The lid clicks shut.

Filling Detergent

1. Fill detergent into the dry detergent compartment.

2. Close the detergent compartment lid. The lid clicks shut.

How it Works (Loading Dishes)

1. Load the dishes. Only wash dishes that are suitable for dishwashers. Remove large food residues from the dishes. Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.

2. Fill in detergent.

3. Switch on the appliance ?.

4. Set the program.

5. Start the program ▶️.

6. After the program has finished, remove the dishes.

7. To interrupt the program, press and hold Reset for approx. 4 seconds. The program is interrupted and completes after approximately 1 minute.

Cleaning the Filters

1. After each wash, check the filters for any residue.

2. Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise ↩️ and remove the filter system.

3. Remove the microfilter downwards ⬇️.

4. Press the locking clips together ? and remove the coarse filter upwards ⬆️.

5. Clean the filter elements under running water.

6. Reassemble the filter system.

7. Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise ↪️. Ensure the arrow markings are aligned.

Cleaning the Spray Arms

1. Unscrew the upper spray arms ↩️ and remove them downwards ⬇️.

2. Remove the lower spray arm upwards ⬆️.

3. Check the nozzles of the spray arms under running water for blockages and remove any foreign objects.

4. Reattach the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks into place.

5. Reattach the upper spray arms and screw them tight.

Cleaning the Drain Pump

1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.

2. Remove the filter system.

3. Remove any residual water.

4. Lift the pump cover with the help of a spoon and grip it by the projection.

5. Lift the pump cover diagonally inwards and remove it.

6. Remove food residue and foreign objects from the impeller area.

7. Insert the pump cover ① and press it down ②. The pump cover clicks into place.

8. Reinstall the filter system.

Troubleshooting

Error E:32-00 or Water Supply Indicator Lights Up

  • Cause: Supply hose is kinked. Solution: Position the supply hose without kinks.
  • Cause: Water tap is closed. Solution: Open the water tap.
  • Cause: Water tap is calcified or blocked. Solution: Open the water tap. The flow rate with the tap open must be at least 10 liters/minute.
  • Cause: Filters in the water connection of the supply hose or AquaStop hose are blocked. Solution:
    1. Switch off the appliance.
    2. Unplug the appliance.
    3. Close the water tap.
    4. Unscrew the water connection.
    5. Remove the filter from the supply hose.
    6. Clean the filter.
    7. Reinsert the filter into the supply hose.
    8. Screw on the water connection.
    9. Check the water connection for leaks.
    10. Restore power supply.
    11. Switch on the appliance.

Error E:61-02 Lights Up

  • Cause: Drain pump is blocked. Solution: Clean the drain pump.
  • Cause: Drain pump cover is loose. Solution: Secure the drain pump cover correctly.

Error E:92-40 Lights Up

  • Cause: Filters are dirty or blocked. Solution: Clean the filters.
  • Cause: Dishes are loaded too closely together or the dish basket is overloaded. Solution:
    1. Arrange dishes so there is sufficient free space. Spray jets must reach the dish surfaces.
    2. Avoid contact points.
  • Cause: Spray arm rotation is blocked. Solution: Arrange dishes so they do not obstruct the spray arm rotation.
  • Cause: Nozzles in the spray arms are blocked. Solution: Clean the spray arms.
  • Cause: Filters are dirty. Solution: Clean the filters.
  • Cause: Filters are incorrectly installed and/or not secured. Solution:
    1. Install filters correctly.
    2. Secure filters.
  • Cause: Wash program selected is too weak. Solution: Select a stronger wash program.

Streaks on Glasses, Metallic-Look Glasses, and Cutlery

  • Cause: Rinse aid dosage is set too high. Solution: Set the rinse aid dosage to a lower level.
  • Cause: No rinse aid has been added. Solution: Add rinse aid.

Rust Marks on Cutlery

  • Cause: Cutlery is not sufficiently rust-resistant. Solution: Use rust-resistant dishes. Cutlery blades are often affected more. Rust marks also occur if rusty parts are washed together. Do not wash rusty parts.

Detergent Residue in the Detergent Compartment or Collection Basin

  • Cause: Spray arms were blocked by dishes and the detergent was not rinsed out. Solution: Ensure spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely.

All LEDs Light Up or Flash, or the Wash Program Does Not Continue

  • Cause: The electronic system has detected an error. Solution: Press the main switch for approx. 4 seconds. The appliance resets to factory settings and restarts.
