Setting up Home Connect
Tip: Connect your appliance to a mobile device. With the Home Connect app, you can conveniently perform all settings.
1. Scan the QR code. The QR code allows you to install the Home Connect app and connect your appliance.
2. Follow the instructions in the Home Connect app.
Overview of Water Hardness Settings
Here you will find an overview of the water hardness values that can be set.

Setting up the Water Softening System
- Press the Setup button.
- Press and hold the Setup button for approx. 3 seconds to open the basic settings. The display shows Hxx.
- Press the Start button until the appropriate water hardness setting is displayed.
- To save the settings, press and hold the Setup button for 3 seconds.
Filling Special Salt
To avoid damaging the appliance, fill the special salt reservoir only just before starting the program.
- Unscrew the cap of the special salt reservoir and remove it.
- For first-time use: fill the reservoir completely with water.
- Pour special salt into the reservoir. The water in the reservoir is displaced and forced out. Never add washing-up liquid.
- Replace and screw on the reservoir cap.

Filling Rinse Aid
- Press the tab on the rinse aid compartment lid and lift it.
- Fill the rinse aid compartment up to the max marking.
- Close the rinse aid compartment lid. The lid clicks into place audibly.

Filling Washing-up Liquid
- Add detergent to the dry detergent compartment.
- Close the detergent compartment lid. The lid clicks into place audibly.

Programs
Program data are laboratory measured values according to European standard EN 60436. The consumption values are only a guide (except for Eco) and depend on the selected program and additional function. The duration changes if the rinse aid system is switched off or if there is no rinse aid.

How to do it
- Load the dishes. Only wash dishes that are suitable for dishwashers. Remove large food residues from the dishes. Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance.
- Set the program.
- Start the program using the Start button.
- Remove the dishes after the program has finished.
- To cancel the program, press and hold the Reset button for approx. 4 seconds. The program is cancelled and finishes after approx. 1 minute.

Cleaning the Filters
- Check the filters for residue after every wash.
- Turn the large-pore filter counter-clockwise and remove the filter system.
- Pull the microfilter downwards.
- Press the retaining tabs and pull the large-pore filter upwards.
- Clean the filter elements under running water.
- Reassemble the filter system.
- Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the large-pore filter clockwise. Ensure the marked arrows are positioned opposite each other.

Cleaning the Spray Arms
Clean the upper spray arm, see user manual.
- Unscrew the upper spray arm and pull it downwards.
- Pull the lower spray arm upwards.
- Check the outlet nozzles of the spray arms for blockages under running water and remove any foreign objects if necessary.
- Re-attach the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks into place audibly.
- Re-attach the upper spray arm and screw it on.

Cleaning the Drain Pump
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Remove the filter system.
- Remove any water present.
- Lift the pump cover using a spoon and grip the edge.
- Lift the pump cover diagonally inwards and remove it.
- Remove food residue and foreign objects from the impeller area.
- Insert the pump cover and press it down. The pump cover clicks into place audibly.
- Re-install the filter system.
