Setting up Home Connect
Tip: Connect your appliance to a mobile device. You can conveniently make all settings via the Home Connect App.

Water Hardness Settings Overview
Here you will find an overview of the adjustable values for water hardness. A table with country-specific units can be found in the operating instructions.

Setting the Water Softener
- Press [button].
- To open the basic settings, press Setup for 3 seconds.
- The display shows Hxx.
- The display shows 'set'.
- Press Start repeatedly until the correct water hardness level is set.
- To save the settings, press Setup for 3 seconds.
Adding Special Salt
To avoid damaging the appliance, only fill the special salt into the salt reservoir immediately before starting the program.
- Unscrew and remove the lid of the salt reservoir.
- For initial start-up: Fill the reservoir completely with water.
- Fill the special salt into the reservoir. The water in the reservoir will be displaced and drain away. Never add detergent.
- Replace and screw on the lid of the reservoir.

Adding Rinse Aid
1. Press the latch on the lid of the rinse aid reservoir and lift it [arrow-up].
2. Fill the rinse aid up to the max marking.
3. Close the lid of the rinse aid reservoir. The lid audibly clicks into place [click].

Adding Detergent
1. Fill the detergent into the dry detergent compartment.
2. Close the lid of the detergent compartment. The lid audibly clicks into place [click].

Programs
Program data are laboratory measurements according to European standard EN 60436. Consumption values are guide values (except Eco) and depend on the selected program and additional function. The running time changes if the rinse aid system is switched off or if there is a lack of rinse aid.

How to Use
- Load the dishes. Only wash dishes that are suitable for the dishwasher. Remove coarse food residue from the dishes. Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance [power symbol].
- Set the program.
- Start the program [play symbol].
- Unload the dishes after the program has finished.
- To cancel the program, press and hold Reset for approx. 4 seconds. The program will be cancelled and will finish after approx. 1 minute.

Cleaning Sieves
1. After every wash, check the sieves for residue.
2. Turn the coarse sieve counter-clockwise and remove the sieve system [arrow-down].
3. Pull the micro-sieve downwards.
4. Press the retaining clips together and remove the coarse sieve upwards [arrow-up].
5. Clean the sieve elements under running water.
6. Reassemble the sieve system.
7. Insert the sieve system into the appliance and turn the coarse sieve clockwise. Note that the arrow markings should face each other.

Cleaning Spray Arms
1. Unscrew the upper spray arm and pull it downwards [arrow-down].
2. Pull the lower spray arm upwards.
3. Under running water, check the spray nozzles for blockages and remove any foreign objects if necessary.
4. Insert the lower spray arm. The spray arm audibly clicks into place [click].
5. Insert the upper spray arm and screw it on.

Cleaning the Wastewater Pump
1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply [power plug emoji].
2. Remove the sieve system.
3. Bail out any water.
4. Use a spoon to lever out the pump cover and grip it by the tab.
5. Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle and remove it.
6. Remove food residue and foreign objects from the impeller area.
7. Insert the pump cover [click] and press it down [arrow-down]. The pump cover audibly clicks into place.
8. Install the sieve system.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter a problem, check the following:
Malfunction | Cause and Troubleshooting |

E:32-00 displayed or water inlet indicator lit. | Inlet hose is kinked. Reroute the inlet hose so it is not kinked. Water tap is closed. Open the water tap. Water tap is jammed or calcified. Open the water tap. The flow rate must be at least 10 l/min when the water inlet is open. Sieves in the water connection of the inlet or Aqua-Stop hose are blocked. 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Pull out the power plug. 3. Turn off the water tap. 4. Unscrew the water connection. 5. Remove the sieve from the inlet hose. 6. Clean the sieve. 7. Insert the sieve into the inlet hose. 8. Screw on the water connection. 9. Check the water connection for leaks. 10. Restore power. 11. Switch on the appliance. |
E:61-02 displayed. | Wastewater pump is blocked. Clean the wastewater pump. Wastewater pump cover is loose. Engage the wastewater pump cover correctly. |
E:92-40 displayed. | Sieves are dirty or blocked. Clean the sieves. Food residue on dishes. Dishes are loaded too close together or the basket is overloaded. 1. Load the dishes with sufficient space. The spray jets must reach the dish surfaces. 2. Avoid contact points. Spray arm rotation is blocked. Load the dishes so that they do not obstruct the spray arm rotation. Rust marks on cutlery. | Cutlery is not sufficiently rust-resistant. Knife blades are often more affected. Use rust-resistant dishes. Cutlery also rusts if rusty parts are washed along. Do not wash rusty parts. |
Detergent residue in the detergent compartment or in the tablet collecting tray. | Spray arms were blocked by dishes and the detergent was not rinsed out. Ensure that the spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely. |
