Device Menu
The app interface provides various functions:
- Main Interface: Home, Messages, My Account.
- Camera View: Screenshot, Talk, Record, Live, History, Cloud.
- Controls: Motion Detection, Rotation, Siren, PTZ Control, Album photos, Video playback, Alarm recording playback, Date selection, Alarm point selection, Screenshot, Video download, Delete video.
PIR Detection
The PIR sensor has a detection range of 10 meters. The "Alarm Setting" is enabled by default with high sensitivity, which is adjustable via "Device"-"Settings"-"Alarm Setting".
Note: Higher sensitivity extends detection range but may increase false alarms.
Push Notification and Alarm Playback
The camera is not designed for 24/7 recording but sends notifications and records videos to the SD card or cloud when the PIR sensor detects human motion. You can view these videos via the Cococam app.
When the PIR sensor is triggered:
- An alarm sound will play in the app. Ensure Cococam notifications are enabled in your phone's settings and adjust the volume.
- Alarm snapshots and video recordings are saved to the micro SD card or cloud storage. Ensure the micro SD card is inserted.
Night Vision Conditions
For optimal night vision, ensure there are no obstacles within three meters of the lens. Obstacles can concentrate infrared rays, affecting night vision performance.
Reducing False Alarms
To minimize false alarms:
- Avoid installing the camera in areas with bright objects or light sources (e.g., sunlight, bright lamps).
- Do not place the camera where vehicles and people frequently pass by.
- Keep the camera away from air conditioner outlets, humidifiers, heat transfer vents, etc.
- Do not point the camera towards mirrors or glass.
- Keep the camera at least one meter away from wireless devices to prevent interference.
Surveillance Zone Coverage:
The PIR sensor should not be aligned vertically with moving objects to ensure accurate detection. It is recommended to tilt the camera by more than 10 degrees to capture all movements.
Video Playback and Micro SD Card
Video recordings are stored on a micro SD card (not included) or in the cloud.
- Supports 2GB to 128GB cards.
- For consistent recognition and longevity, use a Class 10 micro SD card from brands like Samsung, SanDisk, or Kingston.
- Ensure the micro SD card is not damaged and format it (FAT32 or EXFAT32) before inserting it into the camera.
- After insertion, the memory capacity will be displayed in the Cococam app, indicating the card is readable.
- If the micro SD card is not readable, contact customer support for assistance.
