- For WiFi connection, place the product and your mobile phone 1ft to 3ft (30cm to 100cm) from the router.
- Before adding the camera, enable Bluetooth and positioning permissions in the app, then turn on Bluetooth on your phone to connect the camera. Failure to open the app permissions will cause the camera connection to fail.

6. Device menu
The device menu provides various functions:
- Main Interface: Includes device name, connection status, and navigation to different sections (All Devices, Living room, Bedroom).
- Live View Controls: Microphone [microphone emoji], Speaker [speaker emoji], Settings [gear emoji], PTZ control [joystick emoji], Siren [bell emoji], Motion Detection [running person emoji].
- Function Tabs: Live, History, Cloud.

- Bottom Navigation: Menu [home emoji], Messages [envelope emoji], Me [person emoji].
- Playback Options: PTZ control, Photo album, Video replay, Playback alarm records, Alarm date selection, Alarm points selection, Screenshots, Video record, Download videos, Delete videos.
7. PIR detection
PIR Sensor Detection Range: The PIR "Alarm Setting" is on by default with high sensitivity, which is adjustable via "Device"-"Settings"-"Alarm Setting". The detection distance is 10 meters (32ft). Higher sensitivity provides longer detection distances but may result in more false alarms.
8. Alarm push notification and playback
The camera is designed to send notifications to the app and save videos to the micro SD card or cloud server (additional fee applies) when the PIR sensor detects human body motion. Videos can be viewed via the Cococam app.
When the PIR sensor is triggered:
- An alarm sound will play in the app. Ensure notifications are enabled in mobile settings and your phone's volume is turned up.
- Alarm snapshots and video recordings are saved to the micro SD card or cloud storage. Ensure the micro SD card is inserted.
The "Messages" section in the app displays "Alarm Messages" with timestamps and detection types (e.g., Motion Detection).
9. Best conditions for night vision
To ensure optimal night vision, avoid placing the camera within three meters of objects that emit infrared rays or are illuminated, as this can interfere with night vision. Ensure there are no obstacles within three meters of the lens.
10. Important information for reducing false alarms
- Avoid installing the camera in areas with bright objects or direct light, such as sunshine or bright lamps.
- Do not place the camera where vehicles and people frequently pass by.
- Keep the camera away from air conditioning vents, humidifiers, heat transfer openings, etc.
- Do not point the camera towards mirrors or glass surfaces.
- Position the camera at least one meter away from wireless devices to prevent interference.
Surveillance area coverage: It is not suggested to keep the PIR sensor facing the direct path of moving objects. For better motion detection, tilt the camera at an angle greater than 10 degrees.
11. Video playback and micro SD card
Video recordings are stored on a micro SD card (not included) or in the cloud.
- SD Card Support: Supports 2-128GB Micro SD cards.
- Recommended SD Card: For steady recognition and longevity, use a Class 10 Speed Micro SD Card from brands like Samsung or SanDisk.
- SD Card Preparation: Check the micro SD card for damage and format it to FAT32 or EXFAT32 before inserting it into the camera.
- Recognition: After inserting the micro SD card, the memory volume will appear in the Cococam app, indicating the card is readable.
- Troubleshooting: If the micro SD card is not readable, contact Cococam customer service for assistance.
